Asked Mrs Stav what she wanted to eat and to my surprise she came up with something off the top of her head, a bit random but I was blown that she made a decision so it was corned beef stew with mashed potatoes and tender stem broccoli, no idea where she pulled this from, but it was nice, even if it took me about 2 hours to do also started of the next batch of bramble gin

Got this too try last night, don’t bother, it’s just as bad a any other Irish cider I’ve tried, I got two bottles and I’ll be dropping the other one off to the local piss head in the village

I tried to teach my missus to drive, probably about 20 years ago, I had an RS2000 at the time and In her head she was the stig, I gave up in the end and got her lessons with the instructor who I went with, 6 lessons in and even he past her on to another instructor my mates kid who comes out with us is 9 and he drives the pickup and the quad around the farm, I give him a couple of lessons on the fields and I can just leave him too it now, if I need anything from the farm I just send him, younger they are the better, no attitude, just excited to have a go

Right, here goes, bear with me chicken breast marinated in harissa, honey, garlic and lemon juice overnight before being cooked in a griddle pan, with a pepper, tomato and shallot stew and basmati rice the picture doesn’t do it justice, it was delicious, I think it would of been just as good without the rice and more of the stew

Can start to see where we are going with it now, I like jobs like this, where we can do what we want and almost make it up as we go along
-
Making a bit of progress now after a slow start, getting levels in and beds, seen the lads down the road that are working on the viaduct, we can have as much back fill as we want, so that’s saved a few quid
-
Idiots have just said I’m getting a bill, I wouldn’t of thought so, it was under 50mm of concrete, domestic should be a minimum of 375mm and the main coming in should be 7500mm, always good to know your spec when dealing with these loons
