When we were kids we used to do the same, there was a course not far from us and on one of the holes they had to take a shot over what they would call a lake, we used to hide in the bushes and when they were out of sight we’d run out and grab them and watch them looking for them, we’d hang around the club house and sell them to other golfers, £2 for 10 and tell them we got them out the lake ? we were the richest kids in the street ?

Arrr, golf, the perfect way to spoil a good walk, the lad who is our shoot captain and who I work for, plays golf with his father in law, dressing like Ronnie Corbett and smacking a little ball down a field before going after it has never done it for me
-
I’m the same, I’ve been shooting a long time now and have never seemed to get any better, I still get over excited when I pull the trigger and something falls out the sky
-
From what I’ve seen everything sees 850 and 940 ir, I’ve got a laser ir and nothing seems to notice that, not been technical I have no idea why that is

The best one around here is thimbleby, it’s not that far from guisborough if he comes the back of stokesley onto the A19 south, they are a proper clay ground with proper instructors, I think they have started doing simulated game there now as well
-
They just wizz past, but it makes you jump every time even though you know its coming He should book himself a lesson, a good instructor will keep him right, sometimes a bit of tape on a pair of glasses is all it needs, I’m right handed and left eye dominant, I can’t shoot right handed at all, I can’t even mount a gun right handed, even rifles, I can’t close my left eye without the right one closing but I can close the the right and the left will stay open, weird, I know

That is a thing of beauty, only down side is it chucks the cartridge out the wrong side for all the best lads ??

The wind was crazy, blowing off the top of the moor, straight through the valley, there was half a dozen roe in the top field if you are hungry ??
-
That’s a cracking result, if this weather keeps up they will be doing lengths of the fields they are that wet ?
-
Haha, it’s got you sussed, time to get the lucky pj’s on ?

Even though it’s windy and a little bit rainy, I thought I’d treat myself to a walk out after a bit of ferret food for a mate, on arrival I realised that the wind was a little bit stronger than I was expecting, cutting through the valley and blowing straight at me, still making the best of it I managed 7 for 12 shots, in my defence a few of them were at a fair distance and with the wind buffering me that was my excuse for a miss or two, after gathering the 3 for my mate and placing the other 4 in strategic places as bait for a future fox shooting trip I headed for home, for a whiskey ? and a w

I’m going for something a little stronger Dave ? I hope people who have been affected by this, take a bit of comfort from a guilty verdict, It’s a shame the tax payers will be keeping him for next few years -

Well that’s it, over and done with, although I took no pleasure in being involved in it, I did take a small amount of pleasure standing to deliver a guilty verdict and then waiting for the judge to pass sentence 14 years must serve a minimum of 9, get that up you, you rat, you could see the fear in his eyes ?? now back to normal life, normal people and a good bit of shooting ? -

If she has never done it before, it’s nothing to worry about, most of the cases are what I would call traditional crimes, tell her to take a good book, there’s a lot of sitting around ( I’d recommend the last English poachers? ) I must just be unlucky to get the worst of people, on the up side I’m Forman so I get to stand at the end, look them in the eye and deliver a verdict with a little smile on my face -

Haha, I know it’s wrong but I almost fell off my chair with the lad in the wheelchair ? -

This is the second time I’ve done it and I never get the normal crimes, this could be because I live in an area that’s just full of sick deviants that should be gassed, not allowed to stand there and give it “ I’d never do anything like that, I like flowers and skipping through fields with puppies” when all the time I’m wanting to say you are a sick f*cking rat ? -
After the last couple of weeks in court ( jury service ) and coming to the conclusion that some humans are disgusting people and having to listen and look at things that no one should have to, I was in need of some fresh air and a bit of me time, so I set off out into the wind and cold for a little bit of relaxing calling, it was approximately 30 minutes before I had one moving slowly along the hedge back, I allowed the little ginger fella to get between 75 and 85 yards away, clear as day in the scope I pulled the trigger and off it ran, I have no idea how I missed, all I can put it down to w

Every daily that year has had rear calipers and cables, another one is always front wishbone bushes, if you ever need any of these for MOT don’t buy any, message me and I’ll send you some, the after market ones are rubbish and the iveco ones are a fortune, I’ve got loads of new ones laid around
-
I would stay away from a sprinter after 2014, they have a lot of DPF and fuel pump/injector problems, if you are set on a daily you want a euro 5, the euro 6 although basically the same 2.3 engine, everything that’s bolted to it is different, they have a high and low pressure EGR and they are nothing but trouble, a good thing to check if you have a diagnostic when looking at one is the sootmass grams in the DPF to make sure the auto regeneration is working correctly, if they have not been getting good runs the delta P sensor pipe work tends to get blocked and this gives the impression the DPF

I work for iveco, the new shape daily is in my opinion is the best van on the road at the minute, they are the only manufacturer that offers 3.5ton up to 7.2ton, they only do two engines 2.3 and 3.0 in the bigger stuff, we don’t get many problems with the engines but we do get a fair few problems with injectors. Other problems are brake calipers seizing and worn suspension bushes, I would avoid anything with ad-blue, if you want to know anything else just ask ?

I’ve kept a couple of each purely for that reason, I’m guessing that the paper ones are older than me

Nice little bit of info there, I noticed the sealing on the top, cheers for that ?

I noticed that the topmark say Winchester on the box, I haven’t fired them yet or “ the sherwood” these certainly look to be the oldest of the selection, the eley fired without fault and have that lovely old cartridge smell, sparks a bit of nostalgia a bit like a good old 2 stroke ?
