    Proper over the top Bricky, who he fu*k puts a 600x200 foundation in for a 2ft garden wall, I tell you who, the tw*t I’m working for, I’m still waiting for Jewsons to drop the sand an gravel off so it’s going to be a late one, why anyone uses Jewsons is beyond me they are absolute clowns ?

    I know loads of people I wouldn’t have in my house and most of them don’t live in caravans, you can’t tar everyone with the same brush, I know a few travelers that I’d have nothing at all to do with but others that are some of the nicest people I know, you just have to take people how you find them, there’s good and bad in all walks of life

    As my farmer mate said, gypsy’s are just farmers that don’t grow crops or have stock, if he said to me can I come with you, or can I have a go then I’d have some concerns and the answers would be no but he just wants a job done, it’s the same as anyone else asking me to do the same, he must be ok because the lad who gave him my number is no mug and has known him for a long time and if he says he’s ok that’s ok with me

    I’m doing this more as a favour to the lad who gave him my number but to be fair I’ve never had any problems with them as long as we set things straight from the start, he knows if I go up with the rifle there has to be no one there and he’s told me where I can and can’t go, all he wants is the foxes gone and if he doesn’t stick to what I say, I won’t be doing it, so we’ll get on just fine

    Got a phone call this afternoon, someone saying a lad I know had given him my number and that he’d had a lot of chickens killed and a couple of goat kids on his small holding and could I go and do something about it, so I said I’d go up after work today, so off I went to get the lay of the land, taking a cage trap with me, when I got there it’s basically a couple of fields split into a few paddocks that’s owned by a gypsy and rented to gypsy’s to keep the horses, chickens, goats, ducks what ever they like in, but we won’t hold that against him because he seemed a sound lad and is just sick of

    Honestly mate, it’s a sh*t hole, it’s not very big but the land around it is massive, the house next door is a Manor House and his was where the house keeper used to live, he’s trying to get planning to build a big house on the site but every tree has a TPO on it and the council are having none of it

    At a ruff guess I would of thought it will be costing him between 9 and 10 grand when it’s done, there’s 3500 in timber, the price of timber now is mad, he got the sleepers and I think they were a 1000 quid, then there’s 20 tonne of type 1 and all the other stuff he keeps adding to it

    Got it stoned out, but never got the rest of the sleepers in because I thought I’d put the tube slide together, thought, that will only take an hour ? fooking nightmare, nothing lined up, then rain stopped play, luck I’ve built a little house to sit in, back on a foundation job tomorrow so I’ll probably put a Saturday in here to get a bit more done ?

    Thanks mate, genuinely, this is the first time I’ve done anything like this, 2 years ago before the bat flu I was HGV mechanic for 25 years, the lad who’s working with me is a ground worker ( drains, foundation’s, concrete, that type of sh*t ) which helps because he’s sh*t hot in a digger, my plan was to do a couple of years at it the go back to fitting, but I’ve started buying dewalt gear now instead of snap-on and I don’t come home stinking of diesel anymore, so as long as the jobs keep coming I think I’ll keep working for myself a bit longer ?

    It’s never ending this job, need to get the rest of the sleepers in tomorrow and stoned out, then get on to another job, probably have to put a few weekends in here to finish it

    Trump is different animal this afternoon and as much as Ronnie always bangs on about not being bothered if he wins or loses, I think the pressure is getting to him, this might be a good final after all, all to play for in the evening session

    I’m not trumps biggest fan but you have to hand it to him, he hasn’t been consistent but he’s got to the final and even if ( when ) he loses he still walks away with 200k, I would of much rather seen a O’Sullivan/Williams final

    Trumps long game seems to have disappeared, saying that Ronnie doesn’t seem to be firing on all cylinders
