Me too, my old runner is 12. I won't own another running dog now, not worth the hassle and myther . I've too much to loose if my kite was plastered all over the local rag and social media. Don't get me wrong it's still in the blood. Other ways to have a bit of sport and fill the freezer . Dog wise my next dog will be a small terrier cross or a cocker spaniel for mooching with the cattys and retrieving off water. Plus the days for getting stopped when 4 hours away from home in the middle of the night up north or down south with a couple of lurchers , lamp , blade ect are over me now. I know som

Me too mate , I went not long ago car camping mooching. And at first light I seen a heap of munty , a few roe , 2 red hinds and a fallow buck.

Am just in work now graftin so will watch that later thanks , I like Simon . If u can find Hardy Tempest wild camping, he did a vid recently of kayaking and camping the broads which gave me the idea . Lots of unexplored parts of Norfolk I’d like to mooch tbh. If u can find Hardys vid please put it up , it’s a nice little watch . Thanks cheers

Love Norfolk, fell in love with it years ago. I live in the pennines so used to hills and moors. But just love the flatlands of Norfolk. An abundance of game. Love that smell of freshly cut fields. Cockely Clay now that brings back memories. Lamped that from a motor in mid 90,s probably and seen the most amount of roe in one field I'd ever seen in the beam before. Deffo a few odd characters and carrot crunchers but all adds to the feel of the place. I fancy buying a cheap inflatable kayak and doing a wild camping\mooching trip in it down on the broads and waterways.

Only just seen this Mr Rummager, I thought this too. It put extra hairs on my chest lol. It's an acquired taste, after a couple would probably get used to it or save for a special occasion like a night on kinder in bivvy bags. Glad you enjoyed it pal and your welcome anytime. This what forums are for having the crack with like minded folk. Cheers ATB Leo

Mac another YouTube channel I’ve been enjoying is Tristin Riddle. Some young yank kid who made a bit of dollar and retired. And does bow hunting and catch and cook and 24 hour survival with a bow vids. Quite enjoying the young fellow

No I’ve settled on shooting 3 under gap . We’re u basically aim well below your intended target to hit it. So hence me shooting random inanimate objects so it gets me to mentally find my gap every time . It seem a lot harder than shooting my compound but very satisfying. I tried instinctively with the cattys and could never get into that . By nature I’m a precise person in my everyday life, so finding an aiming point just works better and is more accurate for me. Mac have tried traditional off the shelf much yourself?

I have been reading a lot on trad guys hunting from ground blinds and some compound guys as well. Check out an old YouTube channel called Bow Hunting Ninja, he’s a compound guy that just shoots from sat on the ground with his back against a tree. Gets real close to the deer and has some great footage mate.

Just look at the size of this fella ! It’s on one of the yank facebook groups I follow . Taken with a 40lb longbow probably with in 15 yards . Awesome field craft
