    I've been brewing up an idea of camping with a terrier from a kayak this winter.We had record breaking heat this past week.So I thought it would be a good time for a trial run. After loading a terrier,digging gear and camping gear into my kayak I had to see if it would float. It floated.......barely. Paddled to campsite and unloaded.Collared up the terrier and went hunting. Chased a few beaver. On the walk back to camp dog drew a possum. Made it back to camp and fired up the grill. Deer backstrap for supper. Fell asleep to c

    I believe the King James Bible.I don't believe in modern religion.Personal relationship as Francie said.I couldn't do the hunting I do if I didn't believe the bible and know I've got a mansion waiting. Back in October I was lamping coons with a terrier when a gator kept trying to steal my terrier from my kayak.     Thanks for the responses everybody.Lots of good names that I may use in the future.Ive been on the river all my life same as my dogs.So I would like to thank Mr eastcoast for his idea.When I took an interest in otter I read old books from the UK.The one man I aspired to be like was John Gallon The Otter Hunter King.He drowned in the River Lugar.I also remember reading stories of great hunts along the River Taw which I believe was rumored to produce very heavy otters 150 years ago.I couldn't find these places on a map but I reckon pups will be Lugar and Taw.

    Had some pups whelped a few days ago.My daughters have usually helped me name pups.Since they ain't around to help with pups anymore I decided to let yall give them proper British names.I dont like tough names for terriers not human names.The mother to the pups is named Moose.The sire is Jack rabbit. Brown one is a dog.Im thinking Muntjac,Shitehawk etc. Black ens a bitch.Thinking gollywog etc. Yall have fun with it and give me some other ideas please and thanks.

    The hardest thing I've ever done was watching my daughter get married this past weekend.Im still crying.I taught her to catch crawdads when she was little. She had a natural talent for bowfishing. She loves to shark fish. She had always been my digging partner with terriers until one day she brought this boy along with us who is now my son in law. Feeling gutshot from losing my digging partner,fishing partner and daughter in the blink of an eye. Any of yall men with little girls,hug em and take em fishing while you can.

    I was sitting on the couch winding down for the day when I started reading some news articles that made my blood boil. As a hillbilly in Alabama, for this b*****d Mark Rowley to tell me what I can say is infuriating.What Arrogance!What an insult.He can't piss on my right to free speech. So I want to be on public record stating my mind. I hope the so called "far right" burn every kebab shop and bullwhip every immigrant.f**k the London police.I'd make Mark Rowley squeal like a pig. My prayers go out to the boys who are facing time from the protests.

    Mr Wales Only you can make this decision.Ive bred old bitches with good success.Several at 10 year old.In my opinion inbred bitches have more trouble than old bitches.just my opinion.Few things I do with older bitches. Keep the bitch in shape.Dont overfeed the bitch.It will only make the pups fatter making it harder on the bitch. I give older bitches a clean out jab soon after last pup is born.Make sure your antibiotics will take care of mastitis. Just some free advice. Hope you find what your looking for. Good luck.

    My father sent me a picture of a picture this morning that I never knew existed.It was my father's favorite coonhound.A bluetick.My father usually kept English hounds but he love this old bluetick.When I was a child my father coonhunted 6 nights a week.He started coonhunting with a man in Mississippi.This man was a conman who made his living selling coonhounds.     Spent the weekend on a creek. Eating deer burger pattymelts and catching fish. There was an eagle fishing the same creek but i couldn't get a good pic.

    Me and a buddy drove to Tennessee and explored a small river.It was 95 degrees with heat index of 105 when we launched our kayaks.Im still amazed how much gear I can fit in a 11 ft kayak. This morning I'm airing out my hammock and repacking.Hope to explore a creek this weekend.

    Didn't watch the debate.I worked all day in 98 degree weather.Wasnt about to watch two children squabble. My allegiance is with Alabama.Not America.My great great great grandfather was born in 1797.He fought the British as a child in the War of 1812. 50 years later he had to protect his homeland when the Yankees invaded and fought his way through the Civil war in his sixties.Basically my family has fought all of yall at some point lol.Alabama was made by God,Guts and guns.Alabama has been kept free by God,Guts and guns.I will vote for the man who believes in these principles.

    Loaded the kayak and paddled back to the Indian fish trap. I bought a small charcoal grill back in the winter.Finally got to try it out.Worked good. Some chilli beans and corn tortillas made for a decent meal.

    Thanks.I'm sure by September I will be ready to go.Ive lost terriers before but this one has been rougher for some reason. I think you're right.I lost the runts sister in her second season.Although it was gut wrenching it wasn't as bad as losing the runt.

    Being born into a dogmans household I learned valuable lessons early on.Whether its humans or hunting dogs 50% are a waste of oxygen.The other 49% are just average.But that 1%,When the stars align perfectly and you get an above average worker.It just ain't nothing better. 10 year ago I made a breeding that produced a runty pup.I tried to give her away but nobody wanted her so I kept her.Named her Mugz. She has worked well since her very first time.Never put a foot wrong.Last week I acquired permission with the biggest farmer in my area.The farmer took me to a groundhog set.Co
