  1. Very nIce dogs Brog and Tictac. They look very impressive and look to be in great condition. Can you tell us a bit about the breeding, what way are they bred, etc.? What way does the father work, Brog? Thanks,
  2. Pictures of a couple of pups that I am bringing on at the moment.
  3. Yea when I was hurling I used to use a mixture of wintergreen, olive oil and poteen for any bangs and belts that I got. It was good stuff. JohnGalway might be able to sort you out with the poteen, pleny of lads making it up his way, I'd say, lol.
  4. Yea Walshie, you would want to know who you are going to alright, you don't want to end up worse than you are. The doggie or horsey men in your area might know of someone who is good. I used to be sceptical about these lads, but my wife's people always use them, so I went along for the first time to see and he sorted me out. Very good. Obviously depends on what the problem is but for those aches and pains they seem to be able to do the job. JohnGalway, there must have been lads like that in every area long ago, who else was going to sort out any sprains or tears that people or an
  5. Have you tried a bonesetter. Famous one over here called O'Neill (pronunced Nail) of Myshal. People travel from all over Ireland to see him. Obvioulsy your not going to come over here to have your back sorted out, but there might be an equivalent to Nail in your area?
  6. Stig, Have a look at these, this is what I am talking about. See what you think? http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/petaccessories/3629614 The white one with the grey doors look like a two compartment one? They look fairly solid.
  7. John, Could you partition the sheep trailer to leave a bit of room for the dog, woudl it be big enough to allow you room for the dog and sheep? I suppose that would be grand when you are pulling the sheep trailer but doesn't solve your problem when you are just carrying the dog. Any idea what would be a good price for a trailer. I was looking at one on done deal with three compartments for €300. It looks to be in good condition and sounds like not a bad price? What should I be looking out for when buying a second hand trailer, do they give trouble or what problems do you get wit
  8. lol, Gamerooster, It looks like it on this topic anyway, lol. Clarity, I suppose????????
  9. John, I have the same problem myself, I bought a new car in February (well new for me anyway). Up to that I had a 14 year old fiesta which suited me and I didn't mind it getting dirty or smelly. I was looking into the dog transport boxes that fits onto the tow bar. I keep terriers so I think one of these would be handy for me. However I was wondering what peoples opinions are on these boxes? Do any lads on here use them? I was thinking of making one myself with two compartments, but the only difficulty I see for me is making/buying the part that fits onto the tow bar? Th
  10. Fine dogs Cleanspade and DonnyC it would be grand to have a few of them. Some good pictures of white terriers in EDRD magazine this month. Would they be considered russels or parsons?

My young lad has been out hunting with hounds since he was about 5. He is mad to keep into the hounds and wants to be right up with the huntsman all the time. If i stop to talk to the lads he gets on to me as wants to be in the thick of it. He has been on a few digs no bother does what he is told at the moment. I have a daughter who is 5 and she loves the dogs always out in the yard playing with the pups and dogs. Hopefully she will continue that. As someone said earlier better than stuck in watching the telly and out robbing
  12. Looking for the book Dig Deep Throw Well Back, If anyone is looking to sell there copy give me a shout. Thanks,
  13. I would agree with Paddy, I thought the judge did a good job. I watched the terriers for most of the afternoon and he gave all the dogs a good look over and it was obvious that he was picking the working dogs. Which is the way it should be at these shows. The Lakeland/Fell dog category was a good example, I think there were four dogs in this category, three of them were similar red/rusty coated lakelands, all presented very well, but didn't have any obvious signs of work. The fourth was a brindle dog, not what you would call a handsome dog, but with plenty of signs of work. In some of
  14. Nice pictures Mack, what way do they work?
  15. Yea it seems to be alright, I know nothing about pit bulls, but I enjoyed reading it, its easy reading and the content seems to be good. I'd say it would be intersting to anyone with an interest in pit bulls and there breeding. Thanks

  18. Hi, I am looking for a bit of advice. I have a patterdale bitch and she has broken and bleeding skin on her nose and ear. Its quiet a small area at the moment. She worked a mangy fox in November and I am worried that she might have got it from the fox. I have other dogs and they are ok. I cleaned her up, bathed her and gave her a shot of stuff that I have at the time she was with the fox. I have given her a shot of the stuff that I have the other day. Anything over here is all on perscription, just wondering if there is anything I can give her to sort it out and also
  19. I am looking for a hunting whip, nothing fancy. I lost my whip out hunting at the weekend. If anyone has a spare one that they are interested in selling please let me know. Or if you know of anyone who makes good whips at reasonable price. I am located in the South East of Ireland. Thanks, Rebel

I have never really done long netting so any advice would also be appreciated. If anyone knows of someone that makes them or could recommend someone please let me know. Thanks for your help, Rebel
