  1. Are they still going? I haven’t seen a new YouTube video for months.
  2. Stripped and relubed the 97. It’s shooting a bit smoother but the spring is a bit loose on the guide. Why don’t manufacturers fit the parts properly? Anyway, as I was saying, it’s shooting smoother but with a twang and the power has gone down to 10.4lft/lbs(assuming the shop checked it properly). I’ve always wondered why they chrony their rifles out of sight. 10.4 is not bad but it makes you wonder if you’re doing something wrong as this isn’t the first time. New Konus scope ordered today. I’ll give it a go down the range on Friday. I had a go on a SFS tuned 77 the other day. Sweet a
  3. Superbly accurate and very well made. For me, I don't like the looks.
  4. Thanks for the shout.
  5. Yorkshire Shooting Centre near Huddersfield. 100m centre fire range, indoor pistols and 50m air rifle range (£5 all day). Yorkshire Field Sports near junct 39 M1. Many types of shooting including archery. 80yard range(will be extended to 120 soon) £10 for the day. HFT course.
  6. If that’s the case, you won’t go wrong with it. I hope you get on with it. Can you post to let us know how it goes as I’m looking for a scope( not that big) for my new HW77?
  7. I’ve had a go on one of those. They’re surprisingly accurate for the money. Sort out th bipod and for me, lose the cover on the stock and you’ll be fine until you decide to move up models.
  8. I agree with Mark. I have a Hawke Sidewinder30 6-24x50FFP on my TX and it’s awesome static, off a bench. I only shoot at x10 and use higher mag for zeroing and parallax. It’s a lot of weight to lug about in the field. IMHO. Jon
  9. If it's accurate, leave it to settle for now. Good figures.
  10. Good scope but it's probably too much scope for anything other than target shooting.
  11. Shot the new 77 today. Didn't go so well. It was a new range and it was hard to get used to. I couldn't get a good position. It was jumping all over the place. I tried the TX and it was just as bad. I'll try again at my usual range and hopefully it will settle down a bit. Shooting at 11.3 ft/lb with JSB Exact 8.44 4.53. Good news though. She's very purdee.?
  12. Seriously, how much for the 97 stock?
  13. Took the plunge and went for a HW77.
  14. Neither do I. Pick a number and we'll go from there.
  15. What do you want for it?
  16. I believe they can scuff the skirt on certain pellets when loading into the breech. another thought is that if you single load, you have to reset and sort yourself out for every shot where the temptation with a high capacity mag, is to blat away. I'm a bit prone to this myself.
  17. Synthetic HW97KT stock View Advert Would like to swap for a sporter stock. Advertiser Jonnyb6161 Date 21/07/18 Price Category Airguns
  18. It hasn’t been fettled apart from lightening the trigger. The problem is the grip is so narrow I can’t get my finger on the trigger in the right position consistently so I’m pulling shots. I’ve been looking for a sporter stock but the cost a kidney.
  19. I agree with the other comments Ross. The smoke does sound like dieseling. A thorough clean of the barrel, breech and piston seal should sort it. Most rifles I’ve tried like JSB exact or Air Arms field. I hope you get on well with it. Enjoy the springer challenge.
  20. I know you’re a big 97 fan but for every one 97 man there is someone who will say the same abou the TX. I love my 99s and the 77 but I can’t say for sure what the issue is with me and the 97. On paper they should be close but I can’t shoot it well.
  21. Well said but we all know it ain’t gonna happen.
  22. I thought it was too good to be true. I don’t know the guy or I might have been tempted to call bullshit. I’m obviously more gullible than I thought. lol
  23. I had no problem shooting the R10 whereas I had trouble getting behind the scope on the 100(this could probably been set up better but you can’t do that with someone else’s rifle). I tried the S510 ultimate sporter, Wolverine R and Red Wolf at the northern shooting show. All 3 were epic. One of the lads at my local range brought in a Crown sub12 and it was the best of the bunch. I know it was only 20 shots or so with each so it’s only an impression I got but that’s the opportunity I got.
