  1. I heard that Ruby was a good un!...she was a c**t when she was pup though!...i remember choking her off of Tee a fair few times!..lol. Cadno's well mate...thinking of putting a sadle on him, and ridieing him around...the twats 17" and just shy of 30lbs...f*****g lump of a dog mate!...he should be good in a few spots, but generaly useless for terrierwork/digging...im basicly f****d for digging terriers, only realy having Agro thats a made dog...oh, then theres 'Jugs' of course...she will probably get eaten buy a possom though...one things for sure though, Agro will get well used this seaso
  2. Dogs looking well mate...good to see your getting use outta the Carhart gear!....second pic down, is that Ruby that 'Innit' used to have? Jay..
  3. Hi Gnasher,.. lol..i know what you mean about the four year old mate,...he dont train at our Gym, but up North of us...i think he does some sort of dance/gynastic type of sport?...im not sure though mate...supposed to be quite good at the cat 1 stuff though!.. Im not an exspert of course, but i can honestly say, off the top of my head, i cant think of any sport that this system would not work for... I totaly didnt have faith in the system until i started and witnessed what i was seeing...im a very 'stuck in my ways' kinda guy, and always trained with tradisional methods for my fight
  4. Hi mate, and thanks for the interest,.. If you realy wanna find out alot about the system, google the name Jay Shroeder,...a very interesting man, and one of, if not THE best human performance trainers in the world. Its based on stages...cat1, cat2, cat3, then personalized systems for your chosen sport/acctivity etc. You cant just go and have your own routine made up, because you have to go through the development stages, to "train your body to absorb force"...so your realy training your body to be trained, if that makes sense? Most of the early stuff is based on body weight
  5. IMO, its good to have mixed emotions about killing game...its when you DONT care, you should stop all togther...just what i think anyway...good job, a nice humane shot, keep it up bud.. Kye..
  6. Alot of knowledge in this thread guys... I no longer train for looks, and know train (and train other people) for "human performance",...its basicly a system based on old school Soviet strangth and condistioning. It is a AWESOME system for people who partake in sports, like rugby, boxing, mma, gymnastics etc....i am doing realy well on it, and my strength has sky rocketed...my one-rep-max's have gone through the roof. It does improve you physical looks aswell, of course, but its realy a system based on performance...its kinda the opposite to bodybuilding i guess?...in body build
  7. Some interesting replys guys,.. Kye,..
  8. Im not a terrier man buy any accounts, so i shouldnt realy have an opinion!...but i do..lol. If i have a pup, thats about 18 months and i think he is ready, i would let him have a go at being dug too...if he comes away, thats not great, but i wouldnt cull him for it!...just chain him out and let him see the game dug with a made dog...i would let the pup watch the made dog rag-up on the game (once humanly dispatched of course) but i would NOT let the pup have any contact with the quarry...if it came out, but gets a rag on dead game, is the rag up not a reward?...should the dog not have to

Hi Millet,.. Yeah, your right about the time involved mate...i think that was one of the main reasons me mum and dad split to be honest....like i said though, 'maybe, one day!'...would be nice...probably be when im too fecked up to dig and had my arms broken a bunch!..lol. I would put a bunch of pics up Millet, but i dont have Net access at the house...im at the Wifes work place...maybe i might be able to get her (or my mate FR) to sling some pics up at some point?...im sure they would mind mate! Hi again Si... lol...great fight eh?...i like Herring, as a person...BUT...i wo

Hi Si,.. Me?...try and make someone jealous?...NEVER!..lol. As i said mate, im just thinking out aloud realy...i start work at the Gym in a very short time, so im gonna have flexable hours and more money coming in...but what with all the other stuff going on in our lives, if i dont think i have MORE than enough time for a BOP, i just wont bother...i try not to have "hobbies"...to me, a "hobbie" is like reading, or painting or writting poetry....i wouldnt desribe anything that involves living creatures, as a 'hobbie'...it has to be a part of your lifestyle...not summat you pick up and

Hi there,.. Yeah, i know there is alot of red tape for falconry...i met a 16 year old lad that has just got his first bird (RedTail) and he was telling me about being sponsored and everything. Im in Missouri (MO) if that any help to you...as i said, just making inquirys at the moment, but definatly summat i would get into, maybe in the next few years. many thanks.. Kye..

Hi Guys,.. IMO, to fly BOP at game, you need money, time, and dedication...at the moment i have the dedication and the time, but no money...lol...in the very near future, i will have the dedication and the money, but no time... ...i guess you cant have it all eh?.. When i was younger, my Dad kept many BOP, and i flew kestrels, and a Tawny Owl...when i got a little older we had good fun with HH and my dads female RedTail...the best birds that he had was the imprinted Spar and his male Gos...what a cracker!....He bred Luggers and Lanners, but didnt fly them, so i cant remember much ab
  14. BOOTS it's not an issue here mate...land of the free, and all that jazz...flying dogs to hunt in other states is very common, due to the nature of the land...the quarry here is abundant and plentiful IF you are in the right state...if your not, you need to be rich to dig terriers. I dont know about driving mate!...we are in MO and gas is crazy exspensive, and i have little to no money at the moment, and a shit load of things to get done before winter...but we have the dogs that could/can dig them badgers...if the dogs get to them, ive no doubt we would be more than succesfull!... Kye
  15. Nice one Dan...dont forget to give me a call, maybe hook-up for some dog work or summat?...although im broke as hell right now, and gas money is not to common in our house at the moment!.. Jay..
  16. Me and my digging partner could come out and maybe have a look at that Badger problem for you guys!...If i had the money to fly out with a dog or two, i would.. Kye,..
  17. I wanna go like Brad Pit, in that film, "Legends of the Falls"...have a crazy life, get fairly old (but still fully functional!) then get killed in a fight with a bear... I dont wanna be burried or cremated...i would rather just be left in the woods, and let nature do what it does with bodys...feed animals, then turn into compost...the way things do in the wild. Kye..
  18. In-correct...Clenbuterol is NOT a steroid...it IS used buy bodybuilders, but NOT for the reasons you describe...it would be of little use in animals...its used to slightly raise the core temperature of the subject, thus causeing a more thermogenic state in the body, so fat loss is more easily obtained...its kind of like and ECA stack (Ephedra, Caffine, Asprin).. A steroid that is popular with endurance athletes and horse/dog trainers is Equipoise (E.Q)...it increases the red blood cells, and aids in the oxygenation of blood, as well as having Anabolic effects. Kye..
  19. Cheers FJager...i just thought it would be an interesting topic to talk about.. To be honest, the responses i got where what i would exspect...some love 'em, other hate 'em...i ahve dug to very good terriers with bull blood in them...ive also seen terrible dogs with bull in them... I think, alot of people worry about the Bull being used...but thats only one side of the breeding right?...if your gonna use good bull blood, surly it must be put to good terrier blood right?... Im not personaly bothered what goes into a dog...if it stays 'till dug too, i dont care ifs it dead mute, a
  20. I would say, the right blood is from dogs that have been tested, that have been bred from dogs that where tested...the lines and names of lines are not important..just as long as they are from a good working strain...that would be my opnion? Kye..
  21. Hi Guys,.. Just curious as to why Bull types are crossed with earth dogs in the first place?...is it realy needed?...as soon as the cross is made, do you try and cross away from it as soon as possible?....do they lack nose?...etc. I for one love Bull types and there hybrids in both terriers and Lurchers...i think a little of the RIGHT blood, goes a LONG way, and can be good...but ive seen bad hybrids as well...imo, some of the best finding dogs ive seen, both sighthound and terriers have had Bull in 'em...i dont think they have better noses, i just think the 'drive' to make contact w
  22. I dont know anything about the Smithfield types guys...i always liked Collie type Lurchers when i was back home...over here, in some areas, they would be handy...but the style of hunting, and the game i hunt know wouldnt be suited...kinda like drinking soup outta fine China!..lol. But you guys would be mad about the Herding dogs over here...when i lived in NV, ive seen dogs work goats and sheep, on Mountain sides that the goats struggled with...in 90F, in the blistering sun...these where HUGE herding dog, and looked like Border Collies on steroids...most where around the 27-28" mark, and

    TELEPATHY IN DOGS

I think that they have extra sensory perseption...not in a weird "X-Files" type of way...i know they are using dogs over here know to smell CANCER, actually IN the human body...and they can detect other sickness from smelling urine from people. Also, i think its incredible how a cadaver dog can detect the difference between a dead person and a live person, trpped under water, 30 feet deep!...How do they do it? Maybe they are more sensitive to electric pulses/waves than humans?...like some people get head-aches when a storms coming, and some dont..maybe the head-ache victims are jus
  24. I cant remember if it was last season, or the season before that, but my hunting buddy had a vendetta agaisnt this big white feral on our permission...he was gunning for that feral!...he 'aint a big cat lover..."There just a bushy tailed possom!"...thats what he calls 'em..lol...it was always in the same place, buy a big old tree on the side of the gravel road...it always managed to get to the woods before we could dump a dog, or he could get his FAC air rifle out...we seen this thing every time we went lamping, for half a fecking season, then it just vanished...probably coyote fodder. No
