Just out of curiosity what would be the price of shipping a dog from the states and what price do squirrel dogs fetch over there
-
Think a spaniel whippet or a spaniel x lurcher (21 tts) would make an ideal mooching dog for someone who does a lot of daytime work around sets ,be it ferreting or trapping snaring and every little bit on the lamp. be ideal for a ferreting man who worked hedge rows /reed beds / wood lands

Plenty of lurcher will tree squirrels.once a dog has had a nip of a squirrel I find that the dog has a real desire to destroy every squirrel they see which makes for some good viewing

Got a job coming in on a site where I need to set live catch rabbit traps. Not used any in a long while are there any you gentlemen can recommend and how you go about bait. Last ones I used where the like traps which were place at the mouth of bury and left open so rabbits would use them daily then after couple of days would set the tra. Had good numbers with these but no longer have them .

Been there my self once or twice,we fished for carp couple days then used the carp as bait for the cats.

Free Wheaton X Greyhound Type X Whippet
Elchapo replied to hubbs's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
Why have a pup with half whippet in it if your not after a rabbiting dog ? Surely a full whippet sire over a lurcher bitch is going produce rabbiting dogs Horses for courses realy but anyone after anything for something more than rabbits wouldn't have a whippet saturated pup Atb in finding her a good home tho -

For a 8 bore breech loader it is best to go for coarse powder the loading of the cartridges varies to the chamber size , most come in 4 chamber sizes .The loads that are recommended are has follows ,for 8 bore using a 4 inch case in a 4 inch chamber the standard load is 7.1/2 drms powder to 2.1/2 oz of shot, for a 3.3/4 case 7 drms to 2.3/8 oz shot ,for a 3.1/2 case 6.1/2 drms to 2.1/2 oz shot , for a3.1/4 case 6drms to 2.1/8 oz shot Always remember these loads are for coarse powder if you use medium powder drop your dram load of powder.Good luck Feltwad Are you allowed to shoot lead -
