  1. Im a complete amateur when it comes to snaring but i see what you are trying to do and i think they look fine.
  2. Im with the water lot. Drink 2 glasses before bed (if your sober enough) and have a large glass at your bedside for waking up.
  3. I know enough mate,. The last study i was looking at was that wild birds of prey killed 0.02% of all mammals and birds killed in britain whereas cats killed 79%., now if your saying 0.02% equals 250,000 birds alone, never mind mammals, then cats have certainly done some damage! Lets not go there. Its one thing to take out a pair of buzzards or sparrowhawks if they are seriously affecting your pheasants (though still illegal) but killing birds of prey indiscriminatly by poisoning or pole traps is wrong.period.
  4. Rod, i know exactly where you are coming from, buzzards actually do need to be controlled in certain areas, but certain keepers are putting out poisoned bait to indiscriminatly kill any predator, and killing any "hook beak" they come across. I personally know of goshawks and peregrines being shot and slayed "just because" !! There cant be more than 500 pairs of gosses wild in the country yet i know of one case where a keeper i know shot one not 3 miles from my house. Buzzards need controlling in some areas, but until this happens every bop countrywide is being persecuted regardless of whet
  5. I sold him some pest control stuff last year and he paid promptly mind.
  6. I paid for the same course myself a few years back. Ive always done a little agricultural control, but wanted to go it alone. Ive gone full circle now and from new year will only be doing moles and rabbits again (long story)
  7. Well done netter, top bloke!
  8. Im probably going to be contraversial here but i hope he does get a jail term, it might put others off. Birds of prey are persecuted round here and before people say that im talking sh*t i know of plenty of cases personally.
  9. Cheers mate, thanks for that!
  10. So an lpg car pays the same car tax as a normal petrol one? yes? Whats up with factory fitted systems mate, surely they will have been fitted by pro's? cheers for the reply by the way.
  11. Ive got one, best gun in the world ......ever! Seriously, a great little rifle. I will never want any other 22 rimmy, its all i can ask for.
  12. Wasnt there a study done on this? i remember reading somewhere about an experiment and if i remember correctly it was a coopers, the jist of the experiment was that the after a while they realised the bird had caught loads but the wing beats she had done with each chase was fantastically low, a really silly number. If i remember it i will let you know. Anyway, i stand by what i say, high jumps bring them on leaps and bounds and are great when you havent got a chance to fly _work, weather etc, plus with gosses, i use weights too.
  13. Selling my waterproof phone, seriously handy if you get up to the eyes in mud. The waterproof phones arent properly waterproof, but you can wipe them with a wet cloth and they are fine and you can use them in the rain, just dont go swimming with it in your speedos! Its a q800 and i bought it for £130 in the spring.Very similar to the jcb phone but no bright colours. No problems with it. All the stuff with it too, dvd's etc though i didnt get a manual its easy to work out what to do. Worth £60 of anyones money but im open to offers.
  14. I think ive asked this before but i cant find the answer ( maybe it wasnt here) but does a car that runs on lpg/gas pay car tax? or is it if its factory fitted it doesnt, and converted it does? and if so how much is it, is it cheaper than the same car thats just petrol? cheers
  15. High jumps can only do good. I think what jasper is saying is high jumps shouldnt replace actually flying at quarry (i think), but high jumps are excellent at getting the birds fit so dont stop! Like you say, the actual hunt can be very easy on the bird, sometimes catching rabbits can look very good, but she is only flapping her wings a few times and it isnt doing anything for the fitness.
  16. Im selling my waterproof phone, but having trouble uploading a photo as my new camera is taking some getting used too. Its a bit like the jcb one but it isnt, this one is grey as oppossed to yellow and black. Its got a wall charger (foreign one with a adaptor) and earphones and software as well. Good condition.offers

  19. Ive given money every month through my wages to barnardos, i will stop this on monday and email them. Ive just sent them.. I have given a standing donation from my wages every month for at least 15 years now to barnardos, but, after watching the "hunting" video of yours i will be cancelling my donations as of monday. As a legal firearms owner and user, i was upset to see you portray law abiding gun owners as myself as crazy madmen in the new campaign. Shooters are, by and large, the most law abiding of all sportsmen- we need to avoid trouble of any kind in order to keep our gun licences so t
  20. I did the bpca part 1 a few years ago, i found it awkward as i concentrate on agricultural type vermin , but i did pass (probably just)! Ive never had any cockroach experiencee and the closest i come to insects is wasps in the summer so my experience is limited to say the least, but to be honest im actually thankful! give me moles and rabbits and fox any day!!
