  4. My .223 is a howa but ive got an ase jet-z mod on it. Unbeatable for sound supression imo.
  5. This wasnt just after id shot it though, it was an hour after and only once i gutted it and "pulled" its head off. Me and the boy were just stood there with our mouths agape as this skinned rabbit was kicking its legs and twitching its body!
  6. Im not sure whether this is the right place to post this but i had something happen that ive never seen before. I was out shooting this afternoon with my son and the 22lr. We had bagged quite a few, but as this was a serious job to knock down numbers and we were killing pretty indescriminatly, young were easy game. Now, I gut the rabbit, then peel the skin off over its head, then stand on the skin, hold the back legs and pull tight, then cut through its neck, leaving me with a skinned rabbit ready for home. This particular rabbit i gutted it , peeled the skin off but when i went to stand on
  7. Ian, cant get the link mate , try again mate
  8. There are two blond kids on some disney channel my children watch. I HATE these 2 blond twins, if i ever meet them im going to knock f*ck out of them even though they are about 10, twats! lol
  9. Nice shooting mate. Can you eat them things? they look pretty tasty.
  10. Done, if you ever have specific questions you can contact me on here.
  11. Certain jobs i charge either a pound a rabbit or, one of my spots i charge £12 a visit to cover fuel.
  12. £50 posted. pm me if you fancy it. possibly will do a swap too, its just sat there doing nothing and should be getting played with!
  13. I find it fine on small mole runs. The bigger labyrinths it disperses too quickly imo, but for the isolated mole runs its fine. Obviously its no good on real shallow runs etc. I got a letter about 2 weeks ago saying to return any i havent used but, even though ive still got 2 left, ive been using it lately now and again and its fine.
  14. Cheers buster, i reckon so too. Its got to go as i need a harris bipod asap
  15. cheers jack. The flip up covers and mounts are in with it too. trappa
  16. i want to sell my unused spare scopes as i want money to purchase a bipod. They are richter optics and are 3-12 x 50. If you go on airgunbbs you can read a nice write up on them. I would like to get around £60 for them and will post for that but will possibly swap for a bipod too. Thanks, trappa
  17. Took these 2 pics of my light sussex's poorly eye. Its quite swollen and when i looked closely the eye is right inside with a good bit of swelling over it, plus its weeping quite a bit. Will this be contagious? thanks
  18. He's as keen as mustard dixy. He went out twice last year when his mother didnt know as she isnt happy about kids with guns, but he has been out a few times ferreting with me. This is the second time this week he has been out as he has been going on and on about coming, so he can come regular from now on- im shoot around 4-5 times a week so it will be nice him coming on weekends. My philosophy is teach em young, let them know about safe shots and backstops etc while they are kids, plus its better tan him sat watching a feckin tv or videogame.
  19. Ive got the laminated howa in .223, its a great gun. i had some issues at the start finding the right bullet for it, but now i have, i swear by that rifle. There will be a pic somewhere in the show us your set up section.
  20. Totally agree veminater. The bipod is a "must have" this time of year! cheers mate
  21. Out tonight with my son , 7. Promised him i would put a photo up. we had a quick hours mooch (friday night etc) but we bagged a respectable 13. Took this photo at 9 rabbits. Shot another 3 that managed to dissapear down the hole with their brains missing (how do they do that?) and missed a few too . Obviously the sights were out , cough cough.
  22. There are no other symptoms. She is absolutely fine and dandy. i didnt want to catch her up really and upset her but if it doesnt sort itself out soon i will need to. Like i say, the eye is shut and there is an ever so slight swelling below it- no weeping, no sores -nothing.
  23. Mate, they are so much nicer than shop bought, seriously. The yolks are orange and a real nice tasting egg. Ive been waiting to get a full house since i got them. I got a 5 last week but its been 3 or 4 usually. Real happy, though one has an eye problem, but she seems real happy.
  24. Just thought id finish this thread with news that i got my first full house this morning! 6 hens=6 eggs.
