  1. Ive been making some 4ft purse nets, photos will follow. They are made from 12oz nylon so they dont rot like hemp and dont tangle like lighter nylon. I put a bright yellow draw cord on, and i personally think they are the best nets ive used but then again im biased! Ive put hardwood pegs on too (most hazel but a couple arent). Im going to make a few every week, but ive got plenty here. I will start selling them this week at £2.50 each posted. If you want a net thats ready to use than they should be perfect.
  2. Well in that case get off your computer and knock on someones door instead of sat there typing away to people!

so do you bring yours indoors this time of year ,under a lamp and on a heatmat etc ? many thanks . Our horsefield "tito ortiz" (ufc fans will know who he is) is a house tort. In the summer he has the run of the house and wanders around happily all day, the winter months he is in his viv and brought out on sunny days. Our viv has a heat lamp , no heat mat, and plenty obstacles for him to climb etc

We dont hibernate our horsefield. They dont need it. If you want to then go for it, but there is no need whatsoever.
  5. Ian, i know someone with a breeding pair, they have just had chicks and are doing well. Do you want me to ask him if he is selling them? i see him about once a week or so.
  6. LOL. Try monkey nuts country kid. Once they know what they are about they go daft for them. Pre bait an open area a few times so they get to know that they are there then get yourself settled in with your gun and enjoy the fun. Make sure its a decent air rifle, they have tough skin so need good head shots with a decent rifle.
  7. Thanks for the replies lads, some great info , thanks. I think i will give farmer contracts a miss, it does seem like it could potentially be more trouble than its worth, though there might be something in the domestic contracts. I will stick with "by the hour" and "one-off fee's" for now i think. Thanks again for the replies, i appreciate it a great deal. trappa
  8. I dont know about you lot but to be honest, as soon as i see a really long post i dont bother reading them. Dereks posts are usually long and ive read maybe one of them. Im sure he is a knowledgable and clever bloke but his posts dont get read by me.
  9. Chalkwarren, thanks, i know exactly where you are coming from. This is my main worry. I charge farms per hour and houses have a set fee but was wanting to have a look at someone elses contract before i put pen to paper- being tied via a contract to a farm could be a nightmare if the wording is wrong on the contract and the expectations of the farmer are different to yours. Im just wanting some form of regular income from the moles.
  10. As above basically. I charge by the hour for mole work on farmland but was thinking that some form of "contract" would mean a more reliable income ie so much per month/year for x amount of acreage. Does anyone do this or know someone that does? Anyone had any experience at all in this type of thing? Please feel free to pm me any help/advice/knowledge at all. Thanks
  11. First £100 gets them. This is your last chance to see the legend that is Randy couture. Im looking forward to this bigtime. Im getting pm's with regard to offers, there are no offers. I bought these before they were available to the public to sell on to friends. They cost me £94 and i want £100 for them. I dont rob people and in return i would rather bin them than get robbed by a "friend". These cheap tickets are now gone i believe, i will get £100 for them on fleabay, its just easier to sell them to someone here.
  12. Ive got 2 spare tickets for UFC coming to manchester in november. The tickets cost £45 each plus credit card fee plus postage means they cost me a couple of quid more (about £94) i believe the cheaper £45 tickets have all gone now so great oppportunity! £100 the pair here before they go on fleabay.
  13. I dont mate sorry, shame. great ferret and hutch here .
  14. I will take them for £30 if he doesnt.
  15. Working home only. Great dog ferret here, works better than any jill. I need to get rid as his partner just died and my mole trapping is taking precedence and if i touch a ferret i cant touch a mole trap in the same day, its awkward-another mole trapper will know what i mean. £40 gets a GREAT ferret plus a double hutch. cleveland. Like i said, good working home only- i would rather shoot it than let some tosser leave it in a cage for weeks on end.
  16. GSP- 11 months old. Great fella and bundles of fun but got to go before divorce. Good working home only, £150 with papers to right owner. This dog will make someone very happy but he needs to go. I wont be giving him to any tom, dick or harry mind. cleveland. pm me if interested.

  18. How did you cook it? My thoughts on squirrel is its the tastiest meat out there!?!
  19. If the quinces are ripe do this; 2lb of quinces, chop them up without peeling or coring but cut off any bruised bits. Put in a pan with one and a half pints of water ( 2 and a half pints if fruit is not really ripe and hard) Simmer it all until the fruit is soft and mushy. Sieve through a jelly bag so you just have juice. Add 1lb of sugar to every pint of juice plus 2 tablespoons of lemon juice per pint of liquid. Simmer this until the sugar is dissolved. Boil this all up until it reaches 104* . If you dont have a jam thermometer drop some on a saucer , wait till it cools and push it wi
