  1. i usually have my metal detector in the van so never tried the stud detector. When you put your marker in the ground but away from trap, point it at the direction of the trap, that works for me.
  2. Ye, come on phil. Im sat in suspenders here
  3. Queer you say that jjm. I love watching the dogs on my phone or laptop, and love betting on them but i went only once to watch them live and hated it.
  4. i tweak mine, most people do. I think it was more the fact that it was virtually molekatchers first post in here and he maybe doesnt realise there a few good moletrappers on here already possibly and they maybe dont need telling what to do with their traps? Anyway, welcome molekatcher. Hope you are a regular. trappa
  5. Ill get some to ya if i can. Keep an eye on here, Ill text a friend. He might have something, might not
  6. I really couldnt believe it Woods, its much too early, especially this far north. I saw a honey bee yesterday too.
  7. Found a pond today full of frogspawn and frogs everywhere! Middle of February! Whats going on Haha
  8. Na. Ive got one pair of trainers my mate gave me and no camo trousers. Ill leave the trainers and camo pants to the proper hunters....
  9. Cheers lads. That farm id guess was around 200-300 acres torchey. I didnt ask.
  10. Plus i just take up traps and replant them at the next spot straight away, ive a waiting list of farms so i can trap continuously day after day.
  11. Haha, they all count mate! Im not sure how many traps i have tbh but its a few hundred, and most are out working for me 247. Its more sheer numbers than skill, round here its crawling with moles.
  12. Cheers mate. Been trapping hard nearly every day and luckily the weather has been relatively kind.
  13. Just finished another farm, and while i was working out his bill i quickly totted up how many moles ive caught this year and this 151 here has got me to the glorious 1000 since january the first. Not bad for about 6 weeks i reckon.
  14. Haha. Im out today with my deus torchey, well, as usual, im going moling but itll be with me. Great machine, hated it at first, but now love it, wouldnt swing anything else inland.
  15. Im a sad f#ck but that made my day. Those turtles are angry little f#ckers but i love shit like that. Keep em coming wolfdog.
  16. Thanks wolfdog. As above, your topics are alway different so nice to see. All i seem to trap are moles and squirrels I kinda feel a little sorry for the turtle, i keep tortoises as pets so i sort of connect to them, but as i said, they look vicious buggers and i know for a fact if they were in a pond in my backyard id have trapped them straight away! I know tortoises are supposed to be real tasty so presuming turtles might do as well. Keep trapping and sending us the pics mate!!
  17. Thy look vicious sods, ive seen them on the tv. Whats the story with trapping it? Are they classed as vermin or is it dinner?
  18. Doing it as a job, the live mole traps need to be avoided like the plague daz, for a number of reasons. And ye, i know where your coming from regarding the BW fence, i hang them on there too at a lot of spots. Pretty victorian and im not keen on doing it but farmer giles can see what youve caught and it doent half get you more work. I hung up treble figures on an entrance not a month ago and that one act got me 4 more farms straight after (not that i want them really) but i hate to refuse work.
  19. Couldnt you just explain that a mole trapped in a live trap will stress that much it would probably die anyway so you would make sure they were humanely and quickly killed in a trap? I kill hundreds every week but if i catch one badly (which i do) and it suffers a prolonged death it pis*es me right off.

What a feckin nobjockey. Rats can cause soooooo much damage with their chewing. He needs to shut the f*ck up before someone listens to him.
  21. What budget do you have? Theres a lot of options out there. Ian, apologies for piggybacking this topic. Im a NV novice but wanting something for my 22 rimfire AND my air rifle. The rimmy one would be for shooting rabbits probably no further than 40-50 yards, the air rifle one would be for rats and roosting pigeons around farms. I see some are actual scopes and some look like a mini tv screen connected to your scope. There seem a plethora on fleabay. What would be a good budget priced starter? cheaper the better
