  1. Years ago got caught ferreting off a keeper got a good hiding off him and his mate and when a got back to the motor all the tyres had been done. hope you went back ferretting and slashed his tyres,...you know...pay back the favour.

  3. thats what its all about,ferretting in the morning and a spot of lamping at night,what more could you ask for,pity about your mates lurcher,but as you said dogs are not machines,they have their bad days aswell but thats life.
  4. i was down his place in the arsehole of cavan maybe 10 years ago,every farmer in his area would bring dead animals to him for his dogs,he had dogs everywhere,and loads of pups,they were well fed on meat,cows pigs sheep,he gave me and a mate a tour of his place,bitches with pups everywhere,in pumphouse, barns, sheds,old cars,and kennels,i was going to buy a pup but he told me the bitch of the pup i was interested in never seen a field so it put me off,i like to see or know of a bitch how good she is before i buy,

  8. when i got into hunting 40 years ago i used collie greyhounds,ditching lamping and ferretting,then i started to go for deerhound greyhound crosses,and from there i bred a few saluki greyhounds, and started to cross lurchers with lurchers,as everyone is looking to get that one all rounder,had a few good ones in my day,now i am back to where i started with,the collie cross,

  10. i think its deerhound x saluki x irish terriers,,well that was his breeding up to ten years ago,unless he has introduced whippet or greyhound into his breed,,
  11. i heard a lot of pk dogs he owns have never seen a field apart from the one they live on,is this true,i know a lot of brothers to derby winners that never made the grade,so would it be more than breeding you look for in a top champion,

Hi all,been thinking about buying a good scope for my CZ 527 lux[.223] for a while now so i decided to have a look as some decent scopes but a lot of them come with a price,then a friend of mine told me about the Mueller scopes that are on the market so i had a look at them on the web and so i have found great reviews on them,so have any of you shooters out there got one of these scopes and if not what do you use on your heavy bore rifles that have a heavy recoil..

Hello all,i was just wondering any of you lads on this site know any good gunshops that sells lamps scopes and outdoor accessories up the north of Ireland, i am looking for a nice scope for my BRNO .223 DELUXE,have to keep it at a budget as money is tight but with the sterling as it is with the euro it would be well worth a visit up north, Bullx

I had this cross a right few years ago, a very handy little bitch,she looked like a minature deermound,she have great feet and a good overcoat,a demon on the lamp and a great feretting dog,have to say she was,nt a great hare bitch but she would kill the odd hare on them short little courses, a do or die efford,but not a bad cross in my opinion,might have a go at the cross again some day............Bullx
