  1. sorry lads i disagree with guns and lurchers, whats the point of bringing a lurcher and a gun together, that takes the fun out of beating with a terrier and a lurcher.
  2. I wish it was that easy to take them all out together, i like to relax when i have the Rifles and give a few squeals and look forward to charlie showing his face,as for the lurchers they can get bored if your sitting around for too long and the same for the terriers,a good mornings ferretting is great with a lurcher and a terrier and a couple of ferrets but if nothing happens when the dogs are with you they to lose interest,
  3. My avatar is a first x greyhound wheaton,he is useless at rabbit day or night, but he will take fox and larger game with ease,
  4. if he texts you saying the dog is still there, tell him you chasing a 3/4 bred greyhound wheaton, and the guy is giving you a trial and he want less money then he is asking,
  5. so are they 3/4 whippet 1/4 bedlington
  6. HELLO ALL, JUST A FEW QUESTIONS FOR YOU. HOW MANY LADS AND LADIES ON HERE HAVE LURCHERS TERRIERS AND GUNS. DO YOU GET THE CHANCE TO GET OUT WITH THEM DURING THE WEEK, I FIND THAT THERE AINT ENOUGH DAYS I THE WEEK TO GET TO DO WHAT I WANT,I LOVE GETTING OUT WITH MY LURCHERS FOR A SPIN OF A HARE,AND I LOVE GETTING OUT WITH MY TERRIERS TO DO A BIT OF BUSHING AND MAYBE THE ODD BIT OF DIGGING, THEN I LIKE TO GO OUT WITH EITHER MY .22 OR MY .223 FOR A FEW FOXES OF A FEW BUNNIES FOR THE POT BUT I DONT EVER SEEM TO HAVE MUCH TIME WITH WORK AND FAMIL
  7. HI,I KNOW A FEW THAT HAVE FIRST CROSSES OF GREYHOUND X WHEATON,THEY ARE NOT GREAT DOGS FOR RABBIT ON THE LAMP,BUT WHAT THEY LOOSE OUT ON IN ONE THING THEY EXCEL IN SOMETHING ELSE,THEN AGAIN I HAVE HEARD OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD A FIRST X OF THIS BREEDING AND THEY HAVE BEEN OUT AND OUT POT PROVIDERS,[bUT I HAVE YET TO SEE ONE, AS FOR FAMILY PETS,WELL I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH LURCHERS BEING WITH KIDS,BUT IF I DID I WOULD,NT HAVE THAT PROBLEM FOR LONG.
  8. i think when you buy a dog sold for a mate is when the dog turns out to be fcuk all use the mate has left the country, and so has your money
  9. nice bit of shooting there mate, best of luck with the shooting, what type of rifle do you use.
  10. i have a vet here in Ireland who is very good and very cheap, not a rip of merchant like the ones you have in the UK, this guy knows his job,and loves it but is more into looking after your dog and not ripping you off,
  11. Very true in what you are saying lads,i have noticed aswell that a lot of dogs that are on sale here are mostly being sold for their mate and not their own,i know someone on here that bought a dog from the uk and got it transported to Ireland and the dog was supposed to be a all rounder and he turned out to be fcuk all use, couldnt run to warm himself,so i say lads if you buy, make sure you try them, and try them to the full.

  14. IF THE PARENTS ARE WORKERS YOU CAN GO WRONG,I HAVE BRED THIS BREED FOR A LONG TIME AND I FIND THEY WILL DO ANYTHING YOU ASK OF THEM,I STARTED OFF WITH PATTERDALES FELLS AND LAKELANDS AND I FOUND SOME OF THESE WERE HOSPITAL CASES,I FIND THE ONES I BRED ARE NOT AS HARD BUT STILL GET THE JOB DONE AND WITH A LITTLE MORE BRAIN, 250 IS A BIT STEEP FOR THE DOG,I WOULD BARGAIN HIM DOWN.
  15. I WOULD PUT PLENTY OF MUSTARD ON MY FINGERS AND LET THE FCUKER BITE ME AND THEN I WOULD STICK MY FINGERS DOWN HIS THROAT,IT HAS WORKED FOR ME FOR MANY YEARS,AND IT HAS STOPPED ALL THE BITERS, NOTHING WORSE THAN TRYING TO PICK UP A FERRET WITHOUT HIM BITING YOU
  16. i know a few trainers of greyhounds, what do you want to know.
  17. let me know where you are and i might be able to sort you out with something,
  18. well i have made a few phone calls to the gunshops around Ireland and the price of the harris bipod are all around 170 euro each,i looked at a place on the web called Cabeles and with the rate of the euro on the pound it will cost me 94 euro to have it sent here to Ireland within 7 days, thats 79 sterling,i rang gunshop in Bolton called Target Sports and they were selling a harris bipod for 85 pounds so when i went to order it they had sold it,but they said they could order me one but it would cost me another 25 pounds, making it 110 pounds in total, for that one they were selling was a
  19. i use mostly CCI subsonic, grouping is very good and i find the copper heads make them that little faster, but then again its everyone to their own.
  20. Bipods,my lifes story, well i was looking to get a bipod for my CZ.223 so i looked up the gun shop in Ireland and most of the people i talked to told me that they were about 170 euro,so that was hit on the head, then i looked into the Target Sports website and i found a harris bipod for 86 sterling,so when i rang him he said it was a special offer on the harris 13-25 but it was just sold a few minutes before i rang, but he said he would order me one but it would cost me a extra 20 sterling as it was gone up in price,so i said i would get back to him on it,so then i looked into a american website
