    Do you want to know something sad about that bitch? She got bought not as a working dog, but as effectively as a breeder. And yes there is a difference between a welsh collie and a welsh sheep dog.

    Every single Lurcher I’ve ever had was a twat as a pup, hanging off the older dogs, hassling the terriers, chewing on me and anything else to hand ...... it’s just what pups do isn’t it ? Like the pup I have now, up until recently if you stuck your face in hers she would be likely to chew your nose, ear, head ? not like I was worried she was going to savage people .....

    I do an obscene amount of walking / work in wellies and generally find the cheap ones die fast. Also I like comfort! Good stuff on your feet is important imo

    As you said, everything is more expensive these days.... and we end up spending a lot of money on items with a limited life. When you think about it a good well bred Lurcher pup that costs the same money as a couple of decent pairs of wellies or a couple of off road tyres for your truck ........ isn’t very expensive really. I don’t think 250-500 is crazy money for a decent pup. I was agreeing with you / generally musing ?

    Just to put things in context. A decent pair of wellies will cost £100-£150 and last probably less than a year of hard wear. Four top end new mud terrain tyres for a pick up will cost between £700 and £1000 and will probably last a year. ...... I could go on ........

    Out of curiosity, why do folk want 1st xs? I’d always prefer a Lurcher to Lurcher bred half x if that’s the amounts of bull and grey I wanted in a dog. Just interested

    Before I say this ..... I’m not picking on you ? I often think if you’re looking for a decent pup and don’t know anyone keeping the type you’re after, don’t see those kind of dogs and don’t ever know of any decent litters ....... how do you know what you want / what constitutes a decent / top dog ? I very rarely come across anyone who’s pretty serious into it who is buying stuff randomly advertised on a selling site with no knowledge of the dogs or the breeder. I don’t really see many folk on here taking pups off two year old bitches, but as I’ve said in previous posts there would b
