  1. Breed true would be a start ?
  2. Is that not obvious from your last statement ?
  3. Frying up a couple of jumbo sized cold smoked rump steaks tonight. And yes that’s a dinner plate ?
  4. That’s the big difference. One bite off a collie is a nasty wound, one bite off a bull dog is much much worse.
  5. It’s mostly always idiots with dogs but every dog could do it. You got to manage the dogs AND the kids (not that I have any kids). Be interesting to see if the XL bully’s get legislated against now. “Designer Pitt bulls”.
  6. It would be very interesting to see who has more death threats this woman with the horse ..... Or these guys ....... https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-berkshire-57653449.amp
  7. This makes interesting reading. Some observations - She is a hunt follower but referred to as a hunts woman or part of the hunt. She is no more a part of the hunt than the muppets battering each other outside a pub on a Friday night over football are part of the premier league. It is hardly a case of “horrific abuse” but also she’s a bit of a dinlo as she must have known that the sabs were out filming and she does that in full view ........ As much as there are far worse things going on in the world, there isn’t really an excuse for that. That’s not
  8. Aye casso gave some good advice. Talked me through the hand feeding thing to sort out some issues with a bitch I had and I’ve used the rug training with all of the last few pups I’ve had and it’s great for creating a bond and teaching retrieve. Especially with terrier blooded dogs.
  9. There was a member called I think casso? Who used to advocate it. That and tug training.
  10. I can’t see nowt on the leds. Can’t beat the halogen. I’m after a variable blitz. Preferably the dial type!
  11. Are you going to enlighten us ? Or is it a secret in case they sell out to ?
  12. It’s a smart way of doing it
  13. They are limited edition ..... so I guess there is.
  14. I’m guessing we all know one species that’s going to feature in it ...... and it’s going to bring even more morons to the area ? Always enjoy darcy books though, well written and great photos !
  15. I’m talking more about the way the crops are grown and harvested. The price is great so it’s coming out whatever. We cut a lot of hay this year to send to the burners. But it’s more the maize and beet im thinking of.
  16. The absolute worst you will see is quite often arable crops grown for the green energy bio digesters ?
  17. As much as I was being a bit tongue in cheek, all pups are different. Some are like old dogs from young, some are just the devil. Generally they grow out of the worst by 7/8 months of age. On the upside the hardest work pups often make the best dog’s.... they are confident and full of drive.
  18. A lot of folk also seem to forget conifer plantations are cut down...... with big machines..... and then processed with more machines ..... etc etc. And then that area is re planted and does little good for another 20 years.
  19. It’s a twat. Some dogs are twats. Some twats you can train not to be twats. Some are always twats. Some twats are useful so you live with them. Some twats aren’t so you don’t.
  20. Another thing people forget about dairy. Below is a Hereford x steer out of an organic dairy cow. She produces a load of milk and also this calf which will be fattened on organic grass and go into the food chain. The alternative is a lovely image of some small holder suckler cow rearing it’s calf ..... but they keep that cow all year for that one calf. The dairy cow has the milk, the calf and also at the end of her life goes into the food chain. Think about over her lifetime how much food in terms of milk, cheese, cream, ice cream, milk powder, beef, leather, bone meal etc that anima
