  1. Interesting reading the article. The way things are written make things seem a certain way. ”Officers decided there wasn’t enough evidence” makes it sound as if the police on the ground who made the arrests and did the ground leg work just decided to call it off. That’s impossible and doesn’t happen. Same as them ‘deciding to go five tickets out for speeding instead of investigating child abuse’ - again it doesn’t work like that, do you really think the police choose what they go to or where they are sent of staffing levels ?
  2. That’s fair enough. But not really overly related to what I said. My first point was just that the world is messed up, rape, stabbing, murder, child molestation, domestic violence is an every day thing. It has perhaps always been like this, we just didn’t notice. Maybe it’s got worse. f**k knows, but the police are dealing with a deluge. my other point was just that organised groups of people engaged in whatever illegal activity are harder to mail than a lone individual most of the time. Not debating the good or bad points of organised crime.
  3. You can imagine the meeting “so coco cola has that train gig” ”how do we top that?” ”outside suggestion - Santa gets bummed?” ”tone it down Jeff but I think you might be onto something”
  4. I suppose the other way to look at it is a lot of people are going to watch your advert .......
  5. Speaking to someone just now, and what’s scary is just quite how much horror is out there every single day on so many levels. Stabbings, rapes, murders, child molestation..... the police are dealing with those things every day all over the shop. Problem is I guess those ‘OCG’s’ are really good at what they do (sadly) and so a lot harder to get a conviction for. Same reason the big gangs selling drugs, running guns etc don’t get caught much. Also staffing - I recently learnt that the minimum police staffing level for one of our near big towns is 12 officers which would make it 1 per 25,000 peop
  6. We found taxi drivers an issue. usually started with young girls who would be anyone’s mate if they went to the shops and bought them a bottle of vodka and some fags .......
  7. So has Santa coming down your chimney.
  8. “The only thing needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing”
  9. It had its good points. But also it’s dark side. I would have ended up murdering someone though. I actually got signed offf for threatening to kill Someone ?
  10. Agreed. And you can see why, it’s a more extreme version of the same culture.
  11. You never seen the hamburglar?
  12. Well .... gun crime is on the increase and they hve a massive issue with legally held guns killing folk. I think nearly all mass shootings have been with legal Weapons. Burgers carry guns cos home Owners will be armed eyx. Honestly don’t think it helps at all but it’s a merry go round they are now stuck on !
  13. Oh I agree I’d probably shoot them. But it’s not a world I want to live in where I have to go out armed and ready to kill because they probably will be !
  14. What’s real scary is just how common it all is. Massive issue with Pakistani culture and all of that stuff but also a huge huge issue in general society. People Molesting kids is horrendous and horrendously common. I used to council kids in the aftermath of stuff like this in a past life and it was the darkest of shit. In the end I ended up signed off work and then changed profession as I got sick and tired of the buerocraxy and bull shit.
  15. Does it matter why there is no charge ? Like if you arrested someone and then it never went to court due to cps or whatever. You get charged ?
  16. No mate but I wouldn’t be police in the first place. I’d last about two weeks in the job before I lost my rag and stamped all over someone’s head.
  17. I’m not arguing against it mate I am merely pointing out that life isn’t always as simple as a daily mail headline would like it to be. The issue is the government and wider system is corrupt and f****d ok so so many levels.
  18. Sounds like someone above them is manipulating the situation. There are 160,000 cops in the uk. I don’t think they are all peado lovers who don’t give a f**k about anything in society. There are easier and better paid jobs if you’re that way inclined. It’s not an easy job at all in today’s climate and they spend a lot of time working with total Arseholes who give theM shit.
  19. Is that in reference to the USA or here ?
  20. Did you speak to them then ? To know their feeling and how they reacted ?
  21. That was mental that it took up so much of the news.
  22. All I’ve said here is I don’t think it’s fair to say every police officer on the ground is somehow turning a blind eye or hushing things up for an easy life. That’s literally all I’ve said here. So what makes you think that’s the case and what do you think the ground officers should do? My thoughts are that the wider political climate and the cps are to blame.
  23. I used to spend a fair bit of time in Moroccan ports and it’s very similar there, any attractive western woman coming off alone is harassed to hell.
