  1. No fat in rabbit mate, there was a Hudson bat trading post which got snowed in and they tried to live off them, I believe they pretty much starved to death.
  2. Exactly that mate. I am currently seeking an adventure............ Might have to ping some emails off this avo.
  3. Funnily enough I was having that exact thought. Got quite a few friends in that area, so was just thinking a bit of “get me a work visa and I’ll come over for a holiday and destroy some rabbits” rather than full on job. But if I didn’t have a business I would be very tempted by stuff like that!
  4. Fast quad with front flail mower attached would do a fair job ?
  5. Also I think you’d be more likely to find a pure bull as one grand parent than a pure saluki ........
  6. Because I guess it doesn’t really matter what it’s called or referred to if you know what you mean and it does the job. But realistically it would be coursing dog bull grey.
  7. Saluki bull grey back to a racey bull grey. Seems to work ok.
  8. Then I’d say one of my guesses is correct ? I think my other guess might just be another username same person ?
  9. No she’s got collie in her, hence she doesn’t suit me mate ? never again, too much brain for me. I like simple creatures, it’s why I’m still on here after twelve years.
  10. I’m trying to work out who you were, I’ve got a few guesses ?
  11. It was brutal back then ? some good 50 pager war zones ?
  12. That ain’t nothing new. And what else is there to talk about ? It’s a Lurcher site, can’t post much about actual hunting, so all we have left is arguments over how bull x wipes the floor with Beddy x. And stuff like that ?
  13. Funnily enough we do get up that way selling a bit but most stuff either goes direct to abbitoir or to rugby market.
  14. Don’t get me started on the teat chewing! This batch came out of a mob of about 1200 ewes, mostly triplets or quads, which we have a lot more of this year.
  15. This is going to sound wrong probably, but I know what I mean even if it doesn’t come out right. Not saying me, but there are folk for who it is an obsession, all they really care about. Sad or not. They strive to have the real deal, as best as they can have. It’s like any sport, there will always be those happy to play it at different levels and find their enjoyment in it at whatever level they engage. But for those folk who are keen to experience it at its deepest, it’s natural to look at what others are running and how they are doing, and to compare those dogs to what they are running. If y
  16. Also, the little I know of bosun...... he ain’t daft, he will sharp sort out who’s genuine.
  17. That’s very true, I remember it used to be rammed with good posts. But then it started to get like every post was picked apart and most hunting posts got ignored in favour of massive threads of crap and arguments. There were a few over zealous mods who got a little hitler complex and also all of the rabbits died ?
  18. I think if you speak to folk, spend a little time with them etc and just see their posts on here, you get a pretty good idea who does a bit and who is a dreamer ? you can also see stuff like how their dogs are kept and conditioned etc. But you’re right there are lots of folk who use the old nudge nudge wink wink keeps the freezer full bull shit to make them sound good ?
  19. Bred by @jacob evoon here mate, there’s a thread on them but basically courser x Lurcher dog over a courser x bull grey bitch. Razor is his grand sire both sides
  20. In all seriousness it amazes me how good the dogs are with the lambs, they grow up around them but they actually quite like them I think. They see them different to sheep.
  21. You want one you can have one, I’ve got 70 or more fecking orphans at home ?
