    Totally with you mate, I would happily pay a sensible price for a Beddy pup to run on and have a go with, lots of work here and on perm, be nice to see what one could do if brought on right and worked sensibly etc. I somehow doubt either of us will find many folk offering us pups ?

    It’s all bollocks there are bugger all proper working Beddys out there doing any serious graft, and anything anywhere near, has been crossed with black dogs to get some work back into it. I’m sure lots will come on and say that there’s really a secret club of Beddy owners who are dropping holes to gear all over the shop. But I know a fair number of lads who are seriously j to their digging and not one of them or their friends keep a Beddy, and I don’t think many would have ever seen or dug to a working Beddy. In fact I reckon I’ve heard of more spaniels, Lurchers abs hounds dug to than beddys

    That’s very true, it usually shows a hint here or there but I’ve seen some dark dogs where you wouldn’t immediately spot it, but if you’re looking you would, if that makes sense.

    Can you actually read ? Lie whole sentences and that? I know it’s difficult because I use big words sometimes, like more than 3 or 4 letters. But if you manage to get someone to read it to you and explain it, you might see I know exactly what I was after. Niw it’s very flattering being fancied by a man of such standing in the Lurcher community as yourself, but I think maybe you need to back off a little bit before my Mrs gets jealous.

    I believe I came on here asking for any suggestions as it’s interesting to see what’s out there, and the majority of the lads I run dogs with all keep bitches. Think that’s kind of the point of an Internet forum. Cast a net, see what you might snag. And yer I got given a dog by a lad on here, and I got it running and it doesn’t suit my ground. Now I’ve rehomed it to a young lad who wants a dog to go rabbiting, ferreting and mooching. It comes to everyone with age mate, I know it’s hard, watching yourself getting past it, but it’s ok, they make some real good aids for folk like you now, like nappy’s and stuff.     The majority of people are w*nkers mate, it’s that simple. I really try quite hard not to meet too many folk, so maybe I’m lucky because most of the ones I do end up meeting, mostly turn out to be sound folk who I develop long term friendships with. My filter and natural anti social behaviour means I generally don’t get as far as meeting and going out with the idiots.

    Some interesting thoughts - Apparently all working homes are w*nkers, apart from the person speaking at the time. Apparently all pet homes are lovely, obviously no one walked down the high street, looked on the sale sites or spoken to a rescue centre recently. There are good and bad in all walks, it’s up to you to suss that out, and it’s a skill you need every day anyway!
