    Any more guesses one those two species I put up ? Also I firmly blame one member / ex member on here for my obsession ? he took me out one night 12 or so years ago and my little eyes were opened. And from that an obsession grew ?

    The FC culls over 500 reds off one block in South Wales, has done for years and the population grows each year ? Both these lads came from somewhere you’d be surprised and aren’t escapees.

    Agreed....... to a point. I think there has been more than folk think for longer than they think, just where they are is a pretty good place to hide. But granted the last 10 years or so has seen a bit of an explosion - particularly of the roe.

    There are a lot more deer in Wales than folk think. I could take you to see some awesome reds in big numbers, sika, fallow, munty and roe. ? all in decent numbers and some good gold medals.

    Absolutely mental they’ve not gone, considering the tripe folk snap up ? if they were Beddy whippets you’d have had your arm bitten off ?

    I get what you’re saying mate, I really do. I’ve worked with a lot of kids in some pretty messed up situations, post death, sexual abuse etc etc I don’t know the right answer on this one, and I agree it needs thinking through and being sensitive about. Might be that they just come down for the one day etc But trust me, nothing will be rushed into or done without thought and I very much agree with your fears / concerns. We will have to play it by ear at the time, but I don’t think I can flat out say ‘no you can’t go I’m not taking you’ to two kids like that.

    That’s something I can’t answer mate. But I’m not entirely comfortable telling them that they cannot go. Kids are way way more resilient and capable then we give them credit for.
