    Bought several adult dogs in over the years, terriers and lurchers. Some good, some not so good. With experience, it's now always pups all the way unless there were exceptional circumstances. Cheers, D.

    Took one on from a mate of a mate many years ago. Once you slipped it took an age to get her back. Had my allotment broken into a few weeks later, took my other two lurchers but not this one. Found her wandering about nearby next morning when I went to walk them, the thieves obviously couldn't get her back either. So I shot it. No I didn't it went to a mate who had a farm and lived happily ever after Cheers, D.
