    what about using saluki instead of grey, great feet, better stamina, hardy durable, quarry sense etc etc

    would never support a place like that personally. You know what cross they are but not how they are going to throw just like any litter. You also could be getting a pup off a injury prone greyhound or none chaser etc and the studs haven't done anything so are they suitable for work temp etc?

    yeah I'd say you were, wouldn't touch either personally, like you say grass snakes stink and with my luck id be bitten by the adder. that's a green strip next to a path, over the fence is fell/heath. Like you say yours will prob be in the same place for a bit

    loads of ticks round here, just habit checking dogs after walks in summer

    I'll probably get a huge infestation after saying this but I've never had much bother with fleas, always had dogs in the house, the odd time they pick one up I just catch it and kill it the same as ticks, I've bought pups with a few friends on them and just did the same. Bought the odd thing of spray but nowt really. Mind putting a collar on one too try and stop ticks but he still got them on his arse end

    loads of young rabbits about, more at work than I've ever seen there. Found 4 perfect looking still warm dead young ones and a 5th one that was kicking and thrashing about that died in my hands, likely VHD but they are fine one minute and dead the next with no symptoms that they are meant to get?

    no they aren't flimsy, mine are still in good condition after 8 or so years, can't remember how strong the springs were but the pegs aren't notched. I just slip my hand in and catch them the same as the larsens

    same here, are or were at least some. seen dozens of peeled hedgehogs done by a single badger, would they do that to a sheep where there's a high number?

    prob better your dogs teach him manners than something you don't know? Our old Parti used to really fly at pups and give them a real "talking to", it didn't do any lasting harm and they got on with each other for life
