    Yes and yes all the time. But it's up to you it's your dog. If you do go down the jumping route, I wouldn't have young pups jumping high stuff, it can do more harm than good

    Like you say injuries can't be avoided. Get pups out and about from a young age, across all sorts of ground etc and get them jumping clean, and ?

    Yep hill sheep are more tempting and dark coloured lambs etc That's what I meant by different types, need to break them to all sheep or try anyway. No good just showing them a few pets imo

    He bred 1st crosses and 3/4 breds for a while and jacked. It was never a line

    Doesn't work, they get injuries, old etc at some point your going to have to get a pup. And if the old one lives to a good age you'll end up with three? But a saluki type or collie type for the same reasons

    Said the other week there is lower priced pups starting to show, even more now. 74 lurcher adverts on pets4homes for £500 or under, the other sites will be the same....

    How do the hill hunters stock break? Those that let them range out on their own? Never really thought about it or done anything different. Just walked pups on the lead through different types of sheep watching eyes and ears, untill they don't need told, and then start trusting them a bit?

    Nearly all of the folk that slag breeds/crosses off have feck all experience of them worth talking about. And it's blindingly obvious/piss funny to anyone that does. So why bother or let it bother you ??
