  1. I use 30/20 0.80 sheshou 13 cm active 11mm steel, strong pull and very fast, over time I use to play with different tapered bands, but I finally managed to get used to this one. It's overkill for most small game, and I believe that even if I don't place the shot perfectly this band taper is more than enough to take out the game I am hunting!
  2. Good shot buddy, hope you get more in the future!
  3. That's true olso, covid-19 is really annoying everyone right now!
  4. Hey everyone, I live Inverness Scotland, and I would love to meet people in or around this area that enjoy shooting catapults, I usually go out when I have a bit of time, but most of the time I think that maybe I am not the only one in this area that dose this. I recently moved here from Wales, so this is why I am asking, I make my own catapults and I have some knowledge when it comes down to shooting and building them! So let me know if anyone in the area is interested. Cheers and thanks!
  5. Welcome to the from, I live in Scotland as well, where are you from?
  6. OK, so as long as I am careful about it, yes it's true that many people tend not to see or basically don't notice you, but this was always in the back of my mind and I had to ask, thank you again for the advice, not sure how I will explain dead game found and taken home, but I hope I won't need to explain myself on that matter in the future ??
  7. But would you really get in trouble if police let's say catch you with a pigion or a rabbit? Could you like invent a permission for that or? With the rest of the curious people I get the idea of telling them to f..k off, mainly dog walkers will keep their eyes on you and wonder why you around.
  8. That's true, but I haven't seen many farmers around, hopefully I will find some who will give me permission, until then I am just careful of what I do, usually I just hunt wood pigion, and I always have this bad feeling that someone will stop and ask me on what's in my bag or why I am in that area, I would like to get in an argument over a wood pigion, but thank you for all the ideas you guys give me
  9. Usually when I go out with my catty and I mean just taking it from my home to a place I could shoot it I don't even keep the bands attached until I get to the place I could safely use it, this because I know that even though you are aloud to take it with you, you still have to have. A good reason for it, my story at the moment being target practice, there are a lot of nice woodland here where I live, so much small game rabbit, pigion etc, but I don't hunt any because I don't know where or who to talk to about permision! I will look more into this, but thank you for the answers!
  10. So this is new for me, for I have just recently moved to UK and I want to know how do most people who hunt with a catapult get permission to do so? Well... I know most people cut corners on that, but I genuinely want to find out if I could ask for permission to hunt using a catapult and that the land owner would understand that hunting with a catapult is a realistic way of taking small game.
