  5. Haha your making a fool out of ya self mate please stop it's cringing! Any lad on here that works a decent bull greyhound knows your talking out your arse ye tit
  6. So a dog that can run two hares and then catch and kill a fox is an all rounder in your eyes? Just asking like as I'd say a dog that can catch rabbit, hare, pull any of the deer species, catch and kill a fox single handed and help the terriers out without messing about is an all rounder imo, don't think you'll get many saluki greyhounds doing that but I know a decent bull cross can
  7. I'm confused wether your being sarcastic or serious? I personally do beleive bull greys are better overall on deer and anything else other than hares personally, the deer that Salukis were bred to run 6000 years ago as you say, didn't weigh as much as your average muntjac, wouldn't even call them deer to be honest I'd like to see a saluki greyhound pull 6 red hinds in two days single handed like I know the average joe bull greyhound can doive forgot more about running pures on deer or any other stuff than youve even read about you certainly know nothing about salukis thats certain, you talk ma

  9. It's good signs but I can't see us winning to be honest it's different nowadays and people of today have been baught up much differently than back in the 60's 70's and 80's, unless you are born into country sports then the chances are you are going to be against it. Such a shame really but hey ho f*ck the ban, they'll ban rabbiting with lurchers before you know it.

  11. And belle after the princess out of beauty and the beast,.... kids choice, and no my kids aren't girls there both boys lol
  12. From my experience of collie greyhounds picking their runs then by that I mean iv seen a well established collie greyhound that excell d on rabbits run a rabbit and make short work of it, 10 minutes later she would run another rabbit in the same sort of style and all of a sudden just stop in her tracks and watch it run away even if it was a long way from any sort of cover and when she was on top of things, I seen this same bitch do this more than once, a lot of the time she would have a good night when she wouldn't do it at all and she would go home with between 10 to 20 rabbits but the odd ac
  13. shady I see where you going here but it the balance with the saluki in the xs using a animal bred mainly for daytime running fen or field for lamping etc of course they won't compare to lots of othe types for general Lurcher work ,but that's not to say there ain't a good ones out there .depending how one goes about there business preban there WA those that needed and wanted very clean carcasses not knocked about etc clean kills ,has for foxes the bull xes don't go amiss with a drop of quality Wheaton hardens them off for those filthy dirty wet cold nights when the action has slowed down oh be
  14. I think it depends on what your running and where you are running doesn't it? Both the saluki types I had were incredibly ignorant and neither of them were baught up any different to any other dog iv had stubborn is an understatement, if I'm totally honest I don't mind a dog with a dash of saluki in it but I'm not a fan of a dog that's made up of mostly saluki and for someone to say the saluki greyhound is on average as good as the bull greyhound for deer and fox I think their talking out of there ar*e
  15. thats brill that , real good temp that , and clean as well you can't ask for better can you , she a bullx grey as well or have i got it wrong lol , all my bullxs had good temps as well She's a bull grey mate all my dogs are brilliant with my kids.
  16. Not me mate I don't touch anything like that the oldbill are welcome to have a look at my kennels anytime I'm going just off what people have told me
  17. 1. Your looking for a saluki greyhound because your bull cross doesn't retrieve has it not occurred to you that it could be something youv done wrong? 2. If you think it's bad that your bull greyhound doesn't retrieve wait until your saluki greyhound is refusing to bring something back, especially if you raise your voice to it god forgive raising your hand to it you'll be lucky to see the dog again let alone get it to bring a rabbit to you, 3. If you think a saluki greyhound would be a better choice for foxes and deer youv not seen a good bull greyhound jmo
  18. Dead right ray! The Bitch I have in the house is 8 years old now and retired been a kennel dog all her life never stepping foot in a house got stuck into alsorts over the years never been around kids as I didn't have her from a pup, last summer I retired her I let her come into the house for an hour or so, for a start she was unsure, within 5 days she was living in the house, now had her in the house 11 months not had one mess in the house, never makes a noise, stands at the back door if she wants to go toilet, only leaves the kitchen if she is told to do so, and unbelievably gentle with both
  19. I know it's not really in the question but iv used strong stuff collars for a number of years now and I think there great collars however iv gone for a Chang now and just received a lurcher collar from D Lloyd off here its the same material as the bellman & flint terrier collars iv had in green and I'm really happy with it, very light and easy to clean and with it being the same material as the bellman and flint collars I can imagine it's going to last a long time, best £15 iv spent in a long time
  20. I have a 3/4 grey 1/4 bull and just lost a saluki bull grey so I can compare the 2, and not a chance do they compare no 3/4grey 1/4 bull can match up to a saluki bull grey all night lamping. You may think they don't slow down but when you run the 2 together there is a considerable difference. I wouldn't have another lurcher with out the coursing blood in now to be honest. They are a world apart for long nights lamping. I have also owned 2 saluki greys, and iv been lamping with my dog and a mates saluki grey, I look at around ten runs a night plus we cover a lot of ground on foot and anyone w
  21. Personally I'd sooner have a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 bull if that's what sort of quarry you intend to run week in week out they can do everything a saluki greyhound can do on the lamp and there's a much stronger chance the bull cross make the grade than the saluki cross, going down the saluki greyhound route is a stab in the dark, yes they have more stamina but come winter I'm out 3 or 4 nights a week and my bull grey doesn't slow down by the end of the night
  22. Advert is like that because any one who can't be recommended don't waste my time. And the £350. Is if you can't afford that. Then you obviously can't afford to look after and care for the dog. And I'm definitely not hard up for 350 people want a good dog for free. You can't get a cup of tee free now we're in 2017 not 1960 Love it how you make out your charging £350 for the dog so you know somebody can look after it, BS!! Atleast offer a trial with the dog Any trail welcome on any quary dog is 100% And he is as fat as anything (as the season is now over) any one interested donate £350 to my
  23. From my experience most saluki greyhounds will take fox and deer too, don't get me wrong there not the hardest of tools but if the breedings there they are more than a one trick pony
  24. Could be handy pups them good luck
