Badgers displace the young males every spring coincides with the road side buffet and badgers out in strange places, keeps the gene pool strong by stopping incest

Those parakeets have made it as far down as Gloucester someone I no lives there had one on his feeders last summer, seem to be following a similar path southward as the red kites, saw my first one here last year, usually around Swindon I start to see them, good thread ??

Have seen them swimming the river near me, it’s big and very tidal and they are swimming from countryside to urbanisation, a bloke along the road from me thought he was being burgled a few years back, krept down stairs hearing a banging on his french doors, when he flung the curtain back there was a young buck rutting with its reflection in the doors, have found a few dead outside the house over the years I live on one of the busiest roads into town ?

Put a square of black plastic or roofing felt down on your garden and slow worms will arrive if you want them, this is a lower engine cover from a vw polo my son wrote off 4/5 years back but I can’t throw it away as upto half a dozen will be underneath it depending on the sun just had a quick look it’s quite cloudy today but still one in residence

Think the Somerset levels were one of the first places to have otters released on plus the few native ones get moved about by newcomers as they are pretty territorial and won’t tolerate another on there patch, I had a fishing lake down there in the 90,S and otters turned up around 98/99 ate all my ducklings, goslings plus a couple of grands worth of carp, saw the slide he used to come into the lake, saw the carcasses he left around the lake but the nearest I ever got to see him was I heard a splash and saw a trail of bubbles lead into a large reed bed before he was gone,

Saw him twice mate 9ft wingspan flying over Bristol and barely another soul saw it, by the time he made it down to exmoor or Dartmoor there were thousands coming from everywhere to get a glimpse, much to the annoyance of many of my passengers my head is like an owls, it spins round 360 degrees as I,m driving, and I,m constantly scanning from floor to sky when I,m walking, would say Danial Caine is much the same as I,ve been out with him several times and he,s switched on to it as well even the carcasses on the side of the road tell a story and are noticed and noted down

It’s one that fly,s during daylight, either long or short eared can never remember which, had a little bird swimming around in my swim on a lake I was fishing around 10 years back a tiny little grebe saw it for three weekends over 2 weeks and on the last day a bloke popped out the bush,s and started taking pictures and getting rather excited about it, turned out it was one of only 9 in the uk red fronted or red necked grebe, I think there are probably quite a few rare and unusual things around us that we just never manage to identify I,m often looking through books or the inter web to identify

There was an owl along the Severn estuary some years back that was causing quite a stir among the bird watchers even the bald bloke with the lisp from the one show was down there for a look, I was out and about on my travels and turned down the lane to the old aust ferry and this owl came out the hedge and flew along side my motor for about a half mile dead level with the window as all these blokes in full camo grabbed there scopes and chased along the road behind me it was quite surreal but just highlights how much luck plays in these things, a few seconds early or late and it’s gone,

I,ve seen six dead ones, three had drown after being released on a shipping canal which they could not get out of once they were in though the few native ones that have been there for years come in and out through small tributaries that join it, have seen 4 live ones and found one holt sorry no pics though I have got one camera out on a river I,ve seen a fresh Spraint so maybe soon though it’s been up for a week and my daughter checked it yesterday and hadn’t turned it on ???
-
The reason there are so many dead on roads and being seen by people is there has been a massive breed and release program running,in 4/5 years when they have naturalised again and the dumber ones are kerbside the sightings will tale off considerably ??

Greyman replied to Bush Rummager's topic in General Talk
What is best for a sea eagle mate 177 or 22 ? can’t get the video to work what’s killing the sheep ? We had some cameras out on an estate in Scotland last year and caught Fox,s taking down adult sheep by attacking there legs at night -

I try to answer everybody,s questions as best I can if you don’t like the answers tough shit, I,m just a bloke who saw something in the countryside and wanted to find out more which is what I,m doing I,m totally open and as honest as I can be, there are certain things I can’t say or show as I have not got the rights to, it’s just my hobby if your interested join in but if your only here asking stupid questions to look clever or try to make me out a liar then f**k clean off, it really is that simple, I have Lost count of the amount of members from this site that have sent me pictures and told m

Your Fox has not been hollowed out at all there are still clearly internal organs left inside the chest cavity, there is also no sign of a rumin bag the bit that fox and badger love but is actually toxic to a carnivore, so maybe it’s not myself that should learn to read but you, i can’t really be arsed to carry on so I will start to add some links that I receive every week and you can make up your own minds hope that helps
-
How much money do you put in to prove I,m wrong, how many hours a week do you spend wandering round the countryside to prove me wrong the answer to both is none so I would say that gives me the right to tell people like yourself to f**k clean off if you don’t like it I don’t really give a shit don’t read it
-
This is why we are all fecked, it should not be looked at as anything other than removing people’s rights and for that alone I strongly disagree, the personal story,s could go on for years and I,m sure that there is some horror story,s on all sides, but it’s still a government telling people what they can and can’t do to there own body and that should be resisted by every person that values freedom and liberty, it’s about respecting other people’s rights not forcing your values on them,

Conspiracy,s conspiracy’s , I,m quite close to sending a zoo sample off like they have done in aus only to be told it contains dingo, it’s around 300 a pop and a bit disheartening when you know the outcome before you bother ?

When you threw that Fox pic in some time ago I instantly told you it was not a cat kill nothing like one far to messy in fact I keep it in my album as an example of a false claim, so I will assume for the time being that you were lying when you claimed you had trail cam footage of Fox,s and badger hollowing out a deer or sheep in the same way as the pictures I have put up, and on that note I really must go, me and all my shite pics will be at the fishing comp if any of you want to come along and have a rummage through, no charge I might even buy you a beer
-
Everything you say is nonsense your a total tool even the things you have put up here have all been covered so you either have not read the thread or can’t take in and compute what’s already been said 1. we have pics of road kills but body’s,s get removed rather quickly for obvious reason 2 by genetic evidence I assume you mean dna, I have already said there is positive leopard dna but we only get results from foreign labs as no British lab will admit 3 very easy we find scat often as has been said there are at least 5 maybe 6 Chrystal clear pictures in peoples processions who won’t share t
-
Show us your footage then and show me a Fox, badger or corvid remove the stomach in tact and pull it to one side, all British scavengers relish it, but it’s poison to a cat ??? and lastly these deer are being consumed in as little as 4 hours not a day or two

Send them my way I,m game

Same here mate probably out number all other animals on my cams by at least 10-1 roe then muntie,s next loads of road kill young boars about as well travelling up the a38 through Gloucestershire seeing one every 6/7 miles at the moment, not much seems to want to eat them they just seem to blow up and rot away ???
