    The paddy’s were brought in as cheap labour, the same as I was in Germany late 80s early 90s not given houses when the natives couldn’t get one or an unfair benefits system that payed out more than wages in there home country’s, i,m guessing you live somewhere rural and see it from a media point of view, I,m seeing it as someone that lived in a small English village, were doors were left unlocked Turned into a 3rd world shit hole were I recognise no one all the shops are foreign and old people are scared to go out at night ,this happened over 30 years in a place I thought I would never leave,

    Sorry mate but it would also affect my rights to wander were ever I want so I don’t see it as good, we have enough laws just limp waisted management that won’t enforce them, police are as useless as the majority of society and would rather give out fines to mums who’s baby’s drop a sweet wrapper, than spend a day wet and cold rounding up unruly crusty,s, sorry but that’s my view on it ??

    While everyone is on here venting there feelings about a very dodgy subject, may I suggest if it affects you then send an email to the bbc explaining how you feel, I know it doesn’t achieve much but I do it just to let them no we are not all simple sheep that just follow, and some of us can see through there sickening behaviour, bluff and bullshit, I’m a grumpy old man so I do it regularly, my last one was over a local speeding campaign on bbc Gloucester, so I asked the police to explain why they can’t afford to attend a burglary or car theft, but have millions of resources and man power to pa

    Stable door, horse and bolted spring to mind there mate, these things take years like it’s taken years to wreck it you can’t just wave a load of money around and sort it over night, 45,000 lorry drivers retired last year, so upping the money today will encourage people to take it up but needs time, short term solutions for fast profit are what have brought us to the shit state we are in now ??

    Not really, the entire country has been undermined by cheap imported labour, but even those imports start to realise there worth and the cost of living here so they are either channel hoppers taking money with them or they stay but need to earn more than a fiver an hour to live here, pay decent wages, train your own youth, invest in your self for a long term future,,,

    This is happening across the manual labour market, everyone wants to work in IT no one wants dirty hands and a bad back, we have not invested in the next generation and as us old feckers leave our occupations there is no one taking our place the manual work market is propped up by old feckers, in the last year I,ve worked with with more people over 50 than under 30 s, not good for the future, this is a result of decades of not investing in our own but reliance on cheap foreign labour ?

    Just to clarify, I put £111 in my van on Friday as per usual, company van company fuel card so I run low then fill it up will last about a month depending on job locations, just saying so I don’t get hated on for taking all the juice ??
