I agree Sam the 510 does appear to be very long when I have been used to Impact, Wildcat and hw110k rifles yet the Crown is long but extremely light on the front end. Phil

Welcome aboard Tom, I am afraid I cannot pass any comments on these two guns other than to say one of our members has / had the 510 and thought it to be a really good gun. I don't know anyone on here with a Vulcan though. It may be worth adding to the list either the FX Impact or Wildcat in comparison to the Vulcan. Phil
  3. I was chatting to a mate about these and the fact that you can use a Pard 007 but just wondered if the 007a fitting is the same fit as the 007v. I saw the fitting you used Mitch on fb from Amazon which looks good. Phil
  4. He went for a .22 as he has a 110k in .177 and not a big fan of .177, not sure why though. Phil
  5. Here is the intro from Airgunolgy who also sell it.
  6. I am quite intrigued with these Mitch and had thought about one for my P35 but didn't know much about them, in fact, I had wondered if they were more for 'airsoft' type of shooting so very interested in how your pal finds them for live quarry. I am a little confused at the guide for suitability as airgun / rimmy use they suggest 10x24, 10x40 or 14x50. These had a good review on a review show on youtube but can't remember what it is called. Phil
  7. You misundersatnd Jimmy, Chris already has a Crown .22 fac so knows and loves the gun and so needed no input from me. He has had an Impact for the past three years so was already a convert but he bought the Ultra because, firstly, he liked the feel of it, secondly, after checking the shot count, he was happy that it would be enough for his needs and would have kept the gun had it not been for the shot count. BSA have always given bullshit figures regarding their guns shot count and this one was stated at 70 shots per fill so when he tested the gun when he got home only to find that at 35 sho
  8. We brought one home today to try out on a sale or return basis or at least my pal had it on sale or return. First test was on my Wildcat / Hawke Airmax Compact, trying different IR positions we got a decent result looking across from my garden over to the trees on the other side of the field which is 125 - 130mts, happy with that but not usable on that gun as the stock is way to short so for me to use the 007v on my gun, the scope would need to go forward by approx 3'' minimum. Next test was on my Tikka / Hawke Varmint scope, again a good result but a little more finess needed with
  9. Well, when I said this gun was unlikely to be in his collection very long..............................................he went back in this morning and swapped for the Crown. Better late than never. ? Phil
  10. Agreed Mitch, I still cannot believe he didn't get the Crown as he has the money.
  11. My pal and myself went along to our rfd today as I wanted to set zero on one of the rifles and my shooting buddy wanted to buy a sub 12. Now his original plan was to buy a Kral NP-03 or I should say a replacement NP-03 as the first one never left the shop as it was a crock of sh1t BUT his mind had been whizzing around as he didn't know what to get. Over the past couple of days we have gone from an NP-03 right through to a Crown and everything in between but as he has a Crown in .22 fac, thought a sub 12 would be a nice partner to the fac................................so on the journey ther
  12. Good for you Jason, I am not a lover of the 400 series, I don't knock them just not one I would ever buy. Is it the single shot or is it a 410 with mag. To be fair if the ultralight was a side lever with a reg, it would be really nice, anyway I hope you enjoy it, I will stick to my P35 every day of the week, we all like different. Phil
  13. Many a true word spoken in jest me thinks......?
  14. A bit of a step backwards, my lovely new scope is no longer on the gun............................ Up until yesterday, I had only used the gun/scope combination in the garden but after struggling a great deal with the scope at the local range to the point that at 25mt, I couldn't see the target lines or the 5mm spots no matter how I adjusted the side focus and mag. Now I do have a cold which is making my eyes water so seeing the reticle and target a bit tricky BUT today my pal was there and he couldn't focus on the target. I picked up a Mamba Lite and Airmax out of the shop, no issues at all
  15. Welcome aboard Daniel, Don't expect an answer anytime soon matey and after 12 years the rat perm may be a housing estate now. Phil
  16. Just phone your local firearms licensing dept, you will get that from your rfd. I think my area is not issuing new grants, it has taken me 10 weeks for a renewal for my shotgun/fac co-terminus tickets..............................10 weeks so even if they are doing new grants, just think how long that will take. Patience is needed, it didn't really bother me as my wife has both tickets I was able to get ammo etc. Phil
  17. I have taken off the 'tear drop' side wheel extension as it kept catching the nitesite or when it was stood in the corner ready for the next shot, I found it stood proud of the turrets and again caught on things, it is a pity they do simply provide a 'wheel' but no great hardship using the s/f without the extension. Phil
  18. Now that surprises me Jason as I thought you really liked the springer, you should have kept the hw35 and saved up for the P35 then you could have had a brace of 35's Mind you I never use the hw35 I have so I dare say it will be going at some stage. Phil
  19. I think this uses the same stock as the NP-03 which is fully adjustable as well. My buddy has just sold his NP-02 (garden gun) and ordered the 03 which he is picking up on Monday BUT we did have a play with the same gun in .177 in the shop range, very nice to use getting that stock in exactly the right place. I did wonder at the time why Kral got rid of the bottle on the NP-03 in favour of a much smaller cylinder but looking at this one Jimmy, I can see why because if you want the bottle version, you buy the High Cap instead. I like having a spare bottle in the price as well and all for
  20. First of all make sure the land you permission to shoot on is safe for fac and to be on the safe side you want at least 10 - 20acres, normally it is far greater than this but nevertheless it is a good guide in my area anyway. For a referee, use your employer, long standing friend who has not been in trouble, another fac license holder you know well, retired policeman, rifle range owner/manager, local vicar, any professional person you know well such as a solicitor / dentist / nurse / etc. It can be anyone of good standing, my shooting partner is one of my referees and a long standing fr
  21. Welcome aboard t21gky..................................bloody hell mate that is not a good name so do we call you 'T' --- 21guy --- fella --- twat (something we all get called so don't ever be offended, it's just us having fun) but I don't think t21gky is going to catch on, what say you. Oh, by the way, welcome to the best forum out there and feel free to take the mikey out of us beause we will take it out of you ? ? ? Phil
  22. My mate has just sent me a link to Ian / Blackwoods showing the new 007 V-12mm 'super compact' at £332.99 but it looks the same as the standard design to me. Phil
  23. The same with Simon (pianoman) if I remember correctly.
