  1. What would coursing dogs be without the greyhound blood? Slow?
  2. My dog piss was dark on raw, never drank much off it. Now give him abit of kibble a day which in turn makes him drink a lot more, his piss is a lot clearer now.
  3. I don't see the problem using a good greyhound either to be honest. Especially ones of this type of calibre, they have raced frequently and touch wood for him have clearly stayed injury free whilst doing so. Like I said on my other post, I don't see why people question people's choices, he's asked for a greyhound stud, not why he should or shouldn't use one. Atb
  4. After another lurcher sometime this summer, il be looking at another dog, spaniel type for daytime I thjnk
  5. got a collie x here much the same. Just have to have a tone in your voice and they know they done bad, but thrive on praise. I really like collie xs and sensitive nature compared to other xs as they twig on better what's right and wrong without over board measures. That's how Iv found my dog here at the moment anyway. Helps me create a good bond with a dog that's willing to listen and learn.
  6. You getting her scanned socks?Yhea in the next week or two .......are they booked up socks
  7. Didn't u put a post up the other week like this? Anyway, they can be testing yes, especially if you clash. Find out what makes her tick, and don't loose your head while doing so. Lol harder said than done
  8. Been saying this for a long time. That's why this site makes me laugh with everyone jumping in giving there two pence worth about other people's choices. If you got something that your happy with , stick with it. Regardless what anyone else says. There's different xs all doin the same jobs as each other's, more or less just got find what pros suit u and also what cons your willing to put up with. If you don't bond with a dog right, I think the dog will never try hard enough for you.
  9. what dogs u breeding, or thinking of. PM if prefer
  10. That's one lucky guess! Nah I'm getting away from what I had collie/grey, I know there are good ones and they suit some folk but I'm hoping to go the wheaten/grey route, maybe a more straight forward dog, also going to give a bitch a go , I've learnt some amount in the last few years , the best of it is just to relax and see what the dog is about , I've certainly earned my white belt lol.ye , more u worry more things go pear shaped what Iv learnt. Good luck with new dog and cross choice. Should be fun with that type lol
  11. New kennel, new pup , new permission and do twice as much next season as I did this season..hopefully no injuries. Joe777 what lurcher have you settled on? I reckon you taken chids thoughts and gone for 3/4 collie 1/4 grey lol Atb
  12. flat wheat fields things don't hand about on do they. Totally different to pasture.
  13. Cracking pics. Those places u just couldn't get bored of
  14. Didn't say they wasn't capable. Just saying there's better alternatives if it did get lifted
  15. abit off topic, but if the ban was lifted today and you wanted a dog to be as close to a good all rounder as possible, what x would you start with. Not on about 60 rabbits a night , or 3/3 hare dogs. Something that would be good at abit of everything.
  16. Have you got any pics of your line? Would be interesting to see a few closely related dogs.lol I have just asked him the exact same thing. He talks a lot of senseSorry fella didn't see your post. Never been interested in breeding or line breeding but having read these posts it does make sense. i didn't mean it like that, thought it was on different thread. I'm not into bull xs, or never looked into line bred lurchers etc. But I think if the proper bull was added to the right dog it may interest me further. He talks sense and mentions about using the right type of bull terrier. So interest
  17. Have you got any pics of your line? Would be interesting to see a few closely related dogs.lol I have just asked him the exact same thing. He talks a lot of sense
  18. Spot on mate, and what could be simpler. Why some think its easier to scatter breed i dont know.. If you already have what you want in your dogs as you obviously have then the answer to future good dogs is staring you in the face. What you are doing is inbreeding though not line breeding. best of luck, though i dont think you'll need it.any pictures of the dogs u keep jeemes? I know u keep bull x I think, but u talk a lot of sense about using the right types etc. atb
  19. For rabbits and rabbits I'd Defo get one. But better alternatives out there if the ban got lifted.
