Is it possible to work a 7 month old pup katchum. And is it possible to really test a 11 month old dog. I will say this I've talked to plenty of lads who have owned and worked.both lines of the dogs I've got here now going back yrs and yrs. And how much they cost me is my business. But I recon I've got a lot more chance of these 2 dogs doing what I want next season. Than if I bought them from non working dogs. Would u buy a pup from NON working parents. Are they golly line dogs you own?is it golly line that got saluki in aswell? May be wrong

what was wrong with the dogs you had mate? If there were any problems and they went down hill should of contacted David.A fella o get on well with has had 14 hancocks his latest being 16 months old I think, all his dogs have worked to a good std and he was happy with them. He does ferreting hunting and lamping all do everything he wants. He did say that he wouldn't have beardy x off him or any of the naughty boys pups as the sires are narrow and shallow chested. That's why he sticks to border x as a rule.I personally think Hancock should breed the beardy border x like he does the border as the

Rabbit and hare , with the odd fox (legal here in NI) on most types of ground ..and you run a reverse? No , I said id rather have a reverse 3/4 than a 3/4 grey ... But ill be trying a reverse 3/4 in the futurefair enough, but I'd say you'd be fairly disappointed with one running hareMaybe running a hare , but not hunting one upthats why I asked what running do u do, reverse would get left behindDepends how you run them ..have you seen a reverse running hares there? If so any chance of some pictures. Even hunting up, only way I'd say they would have them is right out the seat. U see full blown h

but would you agree that buying a pup off good parents who are good at there job is a safer bet of producing.than buying a pup off parents who live in there run.and ain't worked at all.i get what your saying but who breeds just collie and greyhound, that is all I want in the dog. Not lurche to lurcher that could be too big too small not quite fast enough etc. which does happen. By knowing percentage u sort of predict where u are. Like I said though, how many topics, for instance on the Choco dog thread, supposed to be a really good dog but produced shit? Nothing a guarantee. Simple as that rea

Dogs don't need to be worked to produce good workers and good workers don't produce good stuff either. Surely there's been enough topics to prove this? Nothing is set in stone. Hancock knows how to breed a litter, for example, I know good few people that are taking rhfd, from the stud Merlin, also know dogs from woody, delboy and boycey taking rhfd, also know dogs out of kubla taking rhfd, also know dogs out of Arthur 1/2x taking rf and odd h. Also know Alex dogs taking rhfd, lol now call it what you want but I bet it's not "luck" it's about putting time into the dog and showing it game. S

I see hancock breeding a litter of 3/4 collies only one this year he reckons. how much does Hancock charge for a pup.300. Less for blacks though. I don't mind paying it, atleast I know exactly what I'm getting and what each sire throws. Plus all bitches you can track back to where and what they are out of, two bitches Iv looked into have been from cracking line of greyhounds. Just gotta wait for the pup to be born now. so all in one of his pups would cost me about 500 euros feck that their must be someone in Ireland going to breed collie lurchers but 3/4 collie is what I'm think or there

cant see one catching fast mice on arable though You never know if I did a lot of daytime walking you never know could have one in future. but to be honest 90% is lamping on big open arable land. really pleased how my current dog has been hunting about during the day as iv never encouraged it until now. then I started thinking would it encourage him hunting up on lamp so popped out the other night had one rabbit and a good few misses, and was straight back. abit off topic lol
