  1. If terrier was on his quarry and walked away from it to me that's a jacker and the worst possible start and a very quick end to his/her working life. From day one they need to be consistent.
  2. A reward what the f**k. I've never given a reward at any stage they seem happy enough to been underground taking its quarry on. Sorry but a reward we ain't in the Kennel club on this site buddy. OMG holy shit I hope this don't come into the terrier game as well.
  3. He feared em when I opened father and son kennel gates. But on a serious note I'm aware a that I don't even no how he got in he wasn't able to get back out the twat.
  4. I caught one in the coop this morning 4.30 ish Luckily only one hen dead. The fairest out come was an eye for an eye. A dog I might ad in great nick. My thinking is he is trying to feed cubs or vixen to be so brave to pass the kennels. To early for cubs to be eating already maybe but maybe not nature is a mystery.
  5. Has anyone got any pictures of lungs infected by T.B as it would be of benefit to anyone starting out. I haven't shot deer in years and will be back doing a bit next season. I'm aware there are courses out there indicating such things but no harm in having a visual on it.
  6. The dog or bitch itself is yours to work but I do see what you mean dogmandont by not been 100% truly yours as to breeding from that dog or bitch if it comes good enough. On the other side of the coin that dog or bitch has been developed by a man that has put time and effort into getting it to that stage and when taking that dog or bitch as a pup that person should understand it has a responsibility to do right by its breeding and who bred it. More often than not if your gifted a pup you would know the breeder well and he would know you inside out and future relations and improving your terrie
  7. I've seen 2 bitches dug to . One was a bitch literally am abosult bitch but a messy c**t no use for today's law . Another made a good fox bitch but no better than that they where mother and daughter their line ended there full stop unfortunately.
  8. It would take years of knowing someone before id hand em out a pup belong to me , that said I got stung before. which makes the close circle even tighter
  9. No harm atall in asking its just it would be hard for someone to gift out like that but you may come lucky I hope ya do. More terreirmen working terriers the better for our sport once its done the proper way and in the correct manner. ATB
  10. Most on here dont know each other thats the thing when us terriermen gift out its to the bloke moving soil with us week in week out that gets em, not some random bloke on here looking for a young terrier, Unless he is a man of good integrity and has a good reputation would it be considered.
  11. Ace the terrier world is bigger than this site, and local terriermen look after each other this probably dont happen on your-side which is probably hard for you to believe but each to their own on that matter, it would be a crying sin to gift out a pup to an unknown person and a real immature thing to do.
  12. If you could make up a boxedbed something with walls and a top, small enough so its slightly uncomfortable for him to stand up but snug enough to sleep in. This should sort the problem. Judge the size and dimensions to suit the size of your dog.
  13. If you happen to meet em in the pub, give it time wait till their drunk even buy em a drink or 5, then strike take full advantage and pop the question. It's an option if fairness.???. They may not recall what you said or may not even recall who you are the next time you meet but it's worth a shot. Or do it the easy way just call to the house an ask em if he ain't there you may get to bang the wife ,one good deed deserve another, that's also another option, you've got so many options who knows what can become of it.
  14. Smashing Terrier R.H, Good head and looks well boned.
  15. Reminds me of 2 RusselxGlens we used to dig to unfortunately the man has past now but he had 2 brothers and both were as good as each other. Got alot a digging with em their names where Typsy and Toddy great little dogs they were. Look like terriers built for earthwork. Smashing terrier you have there.
  16. 6 mths now coming along the finest, a dog and a bitch I kept back from my own litter. The other 3 where gifted or more so like they demanded? but anyway they went too my digging buddies. Of to dig their Mother soon enough, Father was dug to last week. Bitch on top Dog on bottom.
  17. f**k off ??? lack I'm solid broke up and don't need this banter haha. Dog is 5 now and I have all the confidence in the world In him after we pulling him he was bouncing for more but we were not so he can lave it for another day please god.
  18. 11 foot dig today, a dig that could never have been dug without a locater but when we reached the last 3 feet or so something went a miss. The numbers where bouncing everywhere and after alot of fooling and farting about we went back to the hole and got in we could feel plenty a tumps, so we decided to dig down with the idea that the locater was acting the bollicks and that dog was under us. We where right. On brake in with dog well on hold, a stupid mistake by myself while throwing up loose clay that kept falling in, I slipped and my foot came between dog and quarry and both broke and the sh
  19. What's the secret ???? Good breeding of course.
  20. You'd want some long t-bar for a 10 foot dig pre-locater and a savage set of ears.
  21. She got to hot to handle I'd say. Delighted you got her back.
  22. On the contrary I've seen men digging mediocre dogs been talked up and when put to a harder job look terrible its the other blokes fault not the guy with the mediocre terrier. So it's 2 to 1 and half dozen the other and each to their own
  23. Although it's blacks I dig now this boy has a place in my heart. We covered some ground together.
