  3. Not a good photo mate its being blown inside out, and taken from the last pole. Used to use hazel set at 45 but started to use them blue poles for hard ground, they have a 6" nail set in the bottom. Thats a 4z 100 yd half bag which have put new running lines and shortened to 75 yd (Better bag)with fibre glass poles and a medium basket. Also just got 2 x 50yd in a large basket, so have to get used to them never used quick sets before. The blue poles I've now shortened to 24" not counting the points and use vertically with a older 100 yd 6z fun bag net. Back to the % no problem with a fa

  8. As said we had 15 two went down the middle of the hedge, Must have got it wrong the two that went down the middle would have been in the net if it was further out (yea right). You can change direction with a quick set not so easy with conventional unless you half hitch vertical poles. The bottom line is on the ground pegged under nearly every pole or hollows (may have been short of a few pegs but it is what it is and you have to manage). The net is set in a tractor track to avoid the crap having just been flailed if set in the second track they would run inside the net . Cheers Arry
  9. Yes mate under every post or a hollow if I remember to bring enough pegs (u pieces of shaped wire ) Fred. Lol. Cheers Arry
  10. Yea we only had 15 maybe the two that ran down the middle of the hedge would maybe have bolted into the net. Rabbits are colour blind any way. Only been doing for 50 years perhaps you can give me a few pointer, still willing to learn. Its the height not the angle Twat. Cheers Arry

  20. Well moving some gear about and in a cardboard box there were some hemp nets I'd put back for repair which I'd not got around to as using spun poly now. There on the top was a couple of them nets from that long net, thought well I'm damed so took a pic. Cheers Arry

  22. Thats a nice net double string like that. Now triggered the memory of the very first time I went long netting at night about forty years ago. Me and two mates borrowed a hemp long net double string just like that one. Well we knew a field up on the Moor near Hound Tor where there good numbers of rabbits. So crept down to the bottom of the field a set the net then arced around from different ends of the net to the top of the field, we had the lamp with us so turned it on. There were forty or fifty between us and the net and off they started, now we were getting a bit excited as they started to
  23. This is on behalf of a mate. I was offered a working Jill its a sister to two I have and please with, he is slimming his team down as he's not getting out so much these days. It will be 2 years old in May. Its on the small side lovely to handle don't think he wants much for it, but would like it to go to somebody who looks after their ferrets. He might even let more than one go but the others are older. In Devon not far from me. Cheers Arry
