The fence has not been up a year and there under it ,its two types of good quality wire ,one for badgers one for rabbits,idont think its down to workmanship ,the land is very uneven and prone to flooding,they have put stone over the underground fold in the mesh ,but the run off from the fields has washed the very light sandy soil beneath away.God is good sometimes. Not dug in then micky, half a job by the sounds of it.. Have fun

I actually snare rabbit proof fencing, they bite through it sometimes, fallen trees blow sections down slightly, they dig under at certain points, were the mesh hasn't been dug down... One thing is there excellent for catching rabbits, you have a 100% kill zone as you know they WILL be travelling through them, that or stay in the woodland, hedges on the other side of the fencing...

Also the ability to drive on seeded ground without damage is a major plus point over a 4x4.. Although if your dragging them round farms using a trailer they can become a bit more hassle... But definitely excellent tools, that can get you plenty more in the bag..

If your talking about rabbit snares, then the ones you buy in shops are loosely spun, shorter with a twine attached... The ones glenn, woodga make, etc have no twine are tighter spun and use an eyelet... Personally I'd avoid the ones bought from shops, if you want any fence snares speak to woodga off the site, far better

If you only have a few ferrets, or individual cages with a couple in, you can just cut the rabbits in half with a knife or axe before you freeze them, then when it comes to feeding them theres less to eat, prevents them getting fly blown so easily and they defrost that bit quicker..

At the minute I don't use them, but I can see them being a permanent requirement of the future with government constantly tightening legislation... Thanks to snareman taking the time to design them and show how easy they are to make, we should all be well prepared..
