I used to be very into my surface fishing, I was tidy at it if I do say so myself. Just my experience mate, but all these brightly coloured widgets and black and orange heavy controllers are a waste of time. The best thing for surface fishing is a good old fashioned clear bubble float…..they come in 3 sizes and will cast a mile when topped up with water. I used to fish them semi fixed just using a float stop as a stopper because they will easily pull free. A 6ft trace of drennan double strength in 10lb, it’s a pre stretched but when coupled with a normal stretch mono as mai

Lets see some wheaton lurchers!
Wheaten Bull Terrier replied to T N T's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Not a lurcher, but half Wheaten, half Bull terrier. -
Great to see hopefully will inspire more protests and put an end to all the madness. Sometimes a little hope is all people need

Alan from Wigan. Done greyhound racing all his life. Know other people lads that have used him and he’s been spot on. Helped me with another dog. Took her there first because I noticed her going stiff in her back legs at night. So thought get her a once over. He said all the legs and everything fine just got some built lactic acid in her saddle muscle. Told me what to give her to help. When you run your hand/fingers over her saddle muscle you can see her twitch so what he’s said make sense. And I reckons as she grows or once she’s grown she’ll be fine he wasn’t worried about it.

East Anglia daily times. Cream lurcher decomposed

Just been reading this article about a lurcher been found by the public. Look where the image of the dog in the crate is. How the f**k has a member of the public found that crate in the middle of what looks to be a wheat or corn field. Yet again trying to portrait some bull shit. A can't share the link. But you'll be able to look it up.

Didn't take many pics.. But loved this pic that Bud put onto a banner, our old mate Johnny boy, still sorely missed and talked about at every comp..

Who was the bone man? As there some right con merchants out there. I’d take it too a vet and get a Propper diagnosis. What was the pup’s original symptoms to make you take her to a bone man ?

Decent that mate, in fairness to his nibs, it’s very hard to put maggots on when you only have thumbs ! lol

The otter just about escaped the wooden spoon! lol It was won by a lad who has fished it the last 2 years and is a regular guest of the fishery, they book now to coincide with the comp and get involved with the lot.. we charged £10 to fish and £10 for the barbie to boost the pot.. so all the extra people who are turning up contributed as well.. Owain (Wales1234) came 2nd with 33lb, decent net of bream and a cracking crucian.. Carp counted as 1lb this year and it tightened it up quite a lot... fishing wasn't amazing, but everyone caught. 1st 38lb 2nd 33lb 3rd 21lb

Yeah.. I wonder! lol

Who won ?……that’s the really important bit ! lol Please tell me it wasn’t His Majesty Emperor 3 Fingers ?

Those trainers were hidden in my truck, again!, the occurring theme it would seem... they'll definitely be back next year, they're way too smart for me! lol

What a great weekend again! Seriously lads if you haven't been before it really is worth the effort, I probably laugh more on this weekend than the rest of the year, the banter is top notch, the food is great, the fishery is the most accommodating place you could wish for, there is nothing not too like. As all the posts, thanks to everyone who contributed, attended, cooked, cleaned, shifting shit, supplied prizes, chucked money in the pot, made the effort to travel hundreds of miles to be there... the list goes on. A massive thanks to Mary, Narima and Graham, they are friends of

Gutted as always I didn't make it but I'm always busy this fortnight over comp weekend. I always think it's a shame the rest of the forum members don't get to bid on some of the auction lots. Perhaps we can do a forum auction later in the year. Buts that's for a later time and I don't want to take away from your recent achievements and money raised. If you can let us know again what the money goes to and if possible put up a link like last year..... well done all

Bit of lunch for me and grandson duck eggs cheese cheese and chorizo omelettes

I’ve been talking to lads and the general consensus is acidosis is caused, mainly , by over running an unfit dog. Seems strange for a 13 week old pup to suffer from it , maybe its something else ? Cheers.
