  5. Did the greyhound drop the size ? Any before or after pics when grey was added chart
  6. But my point is they are more or less a type a themselves these days, but purely bred for function so crossing one them to another dog would throw less variety than using most other types a lurcher haha and deny it an try justify it al you want but as far as I’m aware the coursing dog would be nowhere near what it is now without the greyhound blood haha 1/8th haha haha
  7. I traced my old deer crosses deerhound pedigree back and the only time greyhound was added was when Anastasia Noble got KC permission to add greyhound to her Ardkinglass line and then five generations later of going back to pure deerhound they were KC registered again. Cheers.
  8. Lol alot a greyhound blood ? What like 1/8 or something? A coursing bred is more like a non ped saluki
  9. I had a lovely deerhound grey x saluki greyhound bitch got her in a bad shape sorter her out got her going and sent her down to Alnwick to I lad I know @Thecooksta1you ever see that Maggie run that Mitch had? He came to beating one day gutted that his dog broke neck night before so offered him her would have liked to see pup out of her to the dog his pal Andy had but don’t think they lined
  10. That why we got the coursing dog its called improvement, but they still do same job don’t they? Still throw to type and also have a lot of greyhound blood in them so I’d say they have a fair bit in common haha
  11. All the labour party are under NHS mental health and waiting shock treatment talking therapy under therapists and psychologists and one or two are been put on sections now starmer will be also by carried off to the funny farm too ALL NUTTERS
  12. Haven't these recreated derhound got loads a grey blood anyway ?
  13. Aye but am doubting my hearing now lol I’ll sort a day on the white ones late in season be about an hour and half travelling for you
  14. Lol ive tried staying off this.thread I.cant now lol a coursing bred has f**k all in common with a grey lol Do you even realise how shit greys are at killing hares ?
  15. Well done all is that on a menu list yet
  16. I’m not doubting you mate, the bitch could easily have thrown to the whippet side. That’s what I’ve been saying, the first cross generally throws to type, once you get other types in the mix , you get more chance of a greater variance in the litter. Best of luck with them and it would be a pleasure for me to see them work Cheers.
  17. Here’s my 2 pence worth haha I think charts is right in majority of cases, the variation in litter would put most off, but again how many folks want the same types sure the smaller ones would suit other folk an vice versa and if you was gonna use summat like one these modern day coursing dogs, iv said it before on here years go im sure, I class them modern day coursing dogs as the new age greyhounds let’s face it they been bred to do the job of the old coursing greys, and they do it well, they throw to type 99% of time an the decent bred ones are real hardy animals, so usin one the
  18. @chartpolskithey bought them in at a year old brother and sister but I’ll double check I’ll get a picture of the brother this season if we get a day out all get you up if you want
  19. Looks like a post posted by an anti this !
  20. Aye it was mate haha puppy fat tho haha I outgrew that 2 weeks later haha
  21. How many people do you know that cull ? I, personally, only know two, they never sold a pup, they culled and gifted pups to like minded people. 99% sell the pups on , that’s just a sad fact of the game . Cheers.
  22. Today
  23. That you in the pic with the dog mate ? lol
  24. I personally think that's where lads went wrong with deerhound crosses. The auses and yanks had right idea . Jmho pal . Breed for work . Cull the wastage
  25. Yes, you can, my shidoshi, oss
  26. I’m not disputing what you say mate , but once you use more than two breeds in a cross, you’ll get more wastage, maybe not the correct word, but the litter won’t be as “level” as a first cross. This probably only concerns the first cross deer/grey, ,they always seem to throw true to type. Other first crosses could throw to either parent, and when you have more than two types in a cross, you can’t be sure what you get. I’ve seen it in first cross collie/greys, the speed of the collie and the brains of the greyhound ! LOL ! The deer/ grey types were extremely popular up here before the salu
