    Its a pity I sold the simmons WTC with the P35 as I would have given him that one Jimmy, nice and light but there again a bit more flexibility with a more modern scope I guess. You need to keep an eye open for a Mamba Lite as they are only 450grm and not bad glass for general shooting. Phil

    My grandson loves to shoot cat milk plastic bottles which are only 5'' tall and so light that they take off when the pellet hits them, keeps him happy for hours and no mess. I have quite a few empty ones as we fire them off on a webley dog taining thrower/gun thingy but if you Struggle to get any (if you want) I can always send some up Jimmy, light as a feather. Phil

    I can tell you that I had both the standard length 110 and several of the compact version and for me without doubt the compact 110 with an Airmax 30 compact scope is a lovely combination and both the .22 and .177 were not pellet fussy at all but JSB RS in .22 and Exact in .177 were nothing short of superb in my opinion. I wish I had not sold mine but you know what its like, the grass is always greener on the other side but it is NOT and now as a retired old fart, I don't have the dosh to replace them. Phil

    I don't think anyone can or will knock the HW100, possibly the most reliable pcp on the market. I have had a couple of 100 versions but prefer the 110 for lightness, never found any difference in accuracy between the models, it is just that the 100 was heavy to be walking around the perms with compared to the 110 but it is really a matter of personal taste.     I think we just have to sit on our hands and wait until the plan is CONFIRMED by the HSE. Don't expect BASC to do much for us as they have not so far. My local rfd has shipped out a shed load of rimfire rifles, .22lr, .17 hmr and a few .22 mag. These have gone to a certain importer of shotguns, rifles and expensive air rifles for them to ship out to a third world country and the price was tiny per gun, if the HSE DO allow rimfire to remain on lead (as there is NO substitute to lead for rimfire or airgun), the second hand value will start to climb again.     Sorry to pick this thread up so late however, I am delighted to see another young person enter the world of clay shooting. I have watched the clips a few times ans thanks to your slow motion, I can see he is preparing for the shot perfectly. The gun is what is often called ' A tractor gun' in my neck of the woods and that is not to say it a crappy gun but that they are built to last. Most of them have 1/2 and full choke (fixed choke) so my suggestion would be to introduce different cartridges. For example, I use for sporting 28gr 7 shot for long range targets, 7.5 for medium and rabbit tar

    My pal had one which I have used a few times and I agree they shoot rather well BUT the heavy air tank badly affects the balance, great value for money just not my thing however the FX Verminator whilst similar in design has really good balance but pricey and being phased out.

    I used to keep my caravan at Woodbury so spent many many holidays at Exmouth fishing off the harbour front using fresh shrimp/prawn caught at the other end of Exmouth beach. I also used to fish for some very large flounder at Lympstone along with an assortment of fish on what used to be the Carlsberg landing dock in Topsham including some nice strap conger but that was many years ago. I believe they stopped the bass fishing from Exmouth beach, sad if true.     Thanks guys, the mullet will wait until next summer along with the Bass. I have caught loads of bass with both lure and bait from the kayak and again from the kayak I did a lot of pike fly fishing which I loved. Phil

It was a garden gun and to that end it performed very well hitting an empty pellet tin hanging in one of the trees to piss the starlings off so the finches and bluetits can get the fat balls in peace along with shooting at targets on a sunny afternoon or knocking off a few ferals in the barn of one of our perms although I do have an old springer to do the job but as you lot know, I have a love / hate relationship with springers, it's hate at the moment so I miss the P35.     Thanks guys, I agree with your thoughts on mullet, very tricky to say the least but an old friend of mine was an England junior team member, coach and bloody good angler was telling me yesterday that he has caught two mullet in his life although never really targetted and next year we will be going for them in 4 local venues where we know they can be found. I went out with the new outfit yesterday for the first time, not fishing just casting as it has been a good 10 years since I fly fished and I could not believe how rusty I was, timing was out.................messy, so my friend above

    I am a bit of player when it comes to fishing in the sense that I am a carp angler, lure angler, some general coarse angling, sea angler and casting instructor and I used to be a fly angler, well as the saying goes, 'what goes round, come around' and I have just bought myself a new fly rod and reel although as I gave away all my flies (big mistake) I will have to start again. Nothing unusual here except I don't expect to be going for trout other than the odd occasion, I will in fact be using the new kit for coarse fish including carp and in the salty stuff, bass and mullet.
