fathom 2
ME AND THE BROTHER WAS PUTTING THE FERRETS INTO THERE FERRET BOXES TO TRANSPORT THEM TO OR NEW HOUSE WE HAVE TWO OF THIS SEASONS JILLS AND A TWO YEAR OLD HOB AFTER PLACING THE JILLS IN THERE BOX I WENT TO GET THE HOB HE LOOKED AS IF HE WAS SLEEPING THEN I NOTCIED HE WAS'NT BREATHING HE WAS DEAD, YET EARLIER THAT MORNING ALL THREE WERE WELL AND RUNNING AROUND THERE HUTCHES, BOTH ME AND MY BROTHER WERE BEWILDERED. ANY HOW WE CONTINUED WITH THE MOVE. THE TWO JILL WERE AS LIVELY AS EVER, I TOLD MY BROTHER TO KEEP THE JILLS IN THE HOUSE IN THE PET CARRIER AS THE HUTCH WOULD NEED WASHED DOWN AND DISENFECTED. THE JILLS STAYED IN HOUSE OVER NIGHT AND YESTERDAY ME AND THE BROTHER STARTED TO WASH DOWN THE HUTCH, WE LET THE TWO JILLS OUT OF THE PET CARRIER TO ROME AROUND THE LIVING ROOM ONLY TO NOTICE ONE OF THE JILLS WAS POORLY SHE WAS REFUSING FOOD BUT DRINKING WATER, THE BEST WAY TO DESCRIBE HER CONDITION WAS SHE LOOKED PARALISED ONE MINUTE FROM THE WASTE DOWN AS SHE COULD'NT MOVE HER LEGS THEN AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES SHE WOULD BE STAGGERING ABOUT AND NEXT THINK IT WAS IF HER HEAD WAS TO HEAVY FOR HER TO HOLD UP THIS IS DREADFUL TO WATCH. WE BOTH WENT OUT BROKE THE 8FT BY 4FT HUTCH UP AND BURNED IT ALONG WITH THERE CARRYING BOX. WE TOOK TURNS GETTING UP DURING THE NIGHT TO GIVE HER WATER AS SHE WAS UNABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE DRINKER, SHES STILL ALIVE AND WE ARE BOTH TRYING TO ARE BEST TO KEEP HERE GOING. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHATS WRONG WHAT CAUSED IT HOW TO TREAT IT WE ARE BOTH CLUELESS AND THE VET HAS'NT A CLUE ABOUT FERRETS. ALL HELP AND ADVISE WILL BE RECIEVED WITH GREAT GRADITUDE. Halfinch 51
Read something similar on here before, turned out it was a Spider bite, can't recall the exact details but remember the symptoms were the same. Have you been to the vets? If not, get her there FAST. Good luck. Quote Link to post
victor 10
one of my hobs did the same, but i knew what it was. he had eaten some of his sleeping materal and it had blocked his gut for food so i gave him heaps of normal milk to make him chuck up, i waa there when he chucked up and it turned out to be a big hair ball of rabbit fur, his aunty died of that aswell. so maby normal milk or a saltwater mix so she chucks up, thats ifyou think something is obstructing the bowel. good luck . stubby 175
you say the vet has'ent a clue, but has he examined them, taken blood for tests?, I know it may seem pointless, but better to know what it is, and then have it happen in the future again Quote Link to post

The one 8,577
The only way to know for sure is a post mortem but it sound's like food poisoning to go down that quickly Quote Link to post
