When I was a very young man, late teens/early 20s, I would always do anything to earn a few quid….sometimes I knew I was getting the piss taken out of me but if the choice was earn £20 or not earn £20 then I’d go and get it…..after all, you wouldn’t step over it in the street.

Come the end of the week, I always had a few quid in my pocket, some decent clothes on my back, nice shoes….id go in the pub on a Friday and there would be mates of mine who had spent all week saying to me “I wouldn’t work for that, they are taking the piss” coming up and saying “Here, lend me a score” !!

I always said “No”

You couldn't be further from the truth mate I always earned a few quid even at 12 13 difference is i wasnt a wanker like you id take the lads out on the piss put some money in there pocket easy come easy go

No he never bothered me mate id a told.him to start smoking or go have a few wanks lol  he was a miserable horrible c**t the type wants to.work 12 hours have a weekend off a month and hed be up.on a roof or in a loft out to get away from his horrible wife eat one meal a day unless it was in with digs save every penny for his mortgage on a house he couldn't stand to be in

A true story, 

I was shift manager on an airport and just before the shift ended one of the workers radios me and asked to be picked up.

There was a Philipino sitting in my office waiting for the next shift to start and I asked him to go and pick the lad up.

He said his shift doesn’t start for another ten minutes , so no, he wouldn’t go.

I went myself but I knew I wouldn’t forget him not giving me 10 minutes of his time.

Some time later he was on the night shift with me and I caught him sleeping on the job.

I sacked him immediately, his pals begged me to give him another chance, I said remember when he wouldn’t give me 10 minutes of his time to pick one of you up ?

Harsh ? Not in my book .

So, you couldn’t keep up with him but wanted the same wages and same respect as him and now you want to bad mouth him because his good ethic was a reflection of your bad ethic and you didn’t like to be shown how ordinary you are in reality ?
