I think those of us on the 'right' need to realise we need to unite and think about a slightly longer game than what we normally do....to change things we are going to have to think a little bit deepe

Reform were the only “right of centre “ party on the ballot. I don’t class the Tories as right of centre , but they only got 1 1/2% of the vote. I’m assuming Tory voters moved en masse to Reform,

How are Reform splitting the vote ? The Tories lost their deposit, getting only around 1 1/2% of the votes . Even if every Tory voter had voted Reform, it still wouldn’t have been enough. Advance

Don’t know that much about Gorton/Denton but never envisaged Greens winning the seat. However looking at the 2024 result greens came in a close third to reform in second. Their rhetoric of the robbing hood party of stealing from the rich & giving to the poor may sound good until you realise the poor they refer to are boat people and the likes🙄

Can’t believe this result could be replicated elsewhere in vast numbers…………well hope not anyway but it’s a weird world we’re living in at the moment.

High immigrant areas it will imho be replicated. Let's see what happens in local council elections in May. Only good thing to come out of this recent by election is the bloody nose labour have suffered.

I'll say it again.....greens won by uniting the far left and gay/trans with Islamists..... while we are stuck in the 'rupert is going to deport more muzzies than farage mindset....

Fair analysis mate…..

I see it a bit different (shock ! Horror ! lol )

I think the lesson we can take from this is that these people have been absolutely unashamed in their message and the things they are saying despite everyone thinking and knowing they are total fruitcakes !

They didn’t care, they have beliefs and they stuck to them….without apology !, without shame !, without trying to be all clever about it !……they planted a flag and said “This is what we are !”
They unashamedly played to their own audience, they didn’t apologise about making a video in Urdu in a former heartland of British industry, in a British election !

Meanwhile, the right is trying to be all wishy washy, nicey nicey, all things to all people, clever and sensible…..and only 9000 people bought  it !

I think the lesson is, we should stop f***ing about and just say what we mean !……we don’t f***ing want these people, they all have to go !

I’ll also add, the British voter didn’t let me down….reassuringly disappointing as always !

@Bendigo Did you watch any of the hustings mate ?

I knew Reform wouldn’t win after watching the first one, I said it in a thread on here last week.

If you get a chance, have a look as ask yourself if you think Reform can win or do anything when you look at even someone as educated and with the oratory skills of Goodwin performance at the hustings !

It was too careful, it was unauthentic, it was passionless, it didn’t say anything that wasn’t vanilla…..to be frank, it was a bit cringe mate.

Reform can’t win like this if it’s a ploy and they certainly won’t be doing anything meaningful if it isn’t and they do win……it was totally uninspiring.

That girl came across brilliant, she didn’t care, wasn’t ashamed, was natural and authentic, she knew her audience and she showed she was one of them…..she wasn’t trying to get the Tory vote or the swing vote or anything else, she knew who would vote for her and she spoke their language (no pun intended)

Theres millions of British people out there who would stand behind someone who isn’t afraid…..just go after them, leave all the safe Tory’s and every other c**t to do what they have always done.

Theres a whole generation of young white men and women who have been treated like shit, but like always nobody wants to be associated with the uncouth angry young man….just get after them, who gives a f**k if they like that YouTube bloke everyone hates ?
Gnasher has said for years, the same old wishy washy shit won’t work because it hasn’t worked, may as well just be honest and f**k the consequences….have to make him right mate.

I think Reform are splitting the vote because they are offering conservative or conservative…..so half the people vote for the old Tory’s and half the people vote for the new Tory’s……this is shown pretty clear in these by election results and in almost every election result.

What we don’t have is anything approaching nationalist, unashamedly nationalist !…..we need it.

I appreciate that each and every person has the right to vote as they see fit. But genuinely can't understand the mentality of people voting for the tories or advance. Surely in a by election you would throw your vote behind the nearest party to your views that had the best chance of winning. A 47% turnout didn't help either. Or perhaps a lot more people than we realise have accepted that voting doesn't work and are just waiting on the flames to ignite.

The choice is Tory or Tory mate, and the people that vote for them ain’t that bothered which version of Tory they get (jmho of course)

What there wasnt was a voice for white British people, the people who’s ancestors built that city…..but there was a voice for all the 3rd work scum and their enablers !

And, the results back that up.

How are Reform splitting the vote ?

The Tories lost their deposit, getting only around 1 1/2% of the votes . Even if every Tory voter had voted Reform, it still wouldn’t have been enough. Advance were absolutely dismal, getting only around 150 votes.

Reform doubled their vote from the 2024 election, meaning, in my mind, they United the right vote.

They were beaten because Gorton is 46% Muslim and Denton is 6% Muslim  and they voted as a block with other left wing Gaza supporters .

No, Reform didn’t split the vote, they were beaten by a left wing party in a constituency that has voted left for over 100 years, just this time they voted for a real left wing party.

Cheers.

From what im told this is an area that has never been won by a right wing party at any point in history so cant be a surprise if its always been a Labour area.....but what could be seen as surprising or should at least be noticed is that the " vote splitting " has worked out great for the left just so long as they have gone further left than the original party !......hopefully this will wake up a few Reform supporters to Farage's nonsense tactics regards vote splitting.
