You should hate then too mate. In one of your posts you stated you had to buy your own Parkinsons  drugs. Outrageous! I checked whether you would have to do that in France or Germany. I've just come back from skippering a boat. It struck me that the fishing industry has become much like the UK as a whole. When I was in my twenties you could make serious money as you were paid a fair proportion of the ships profits. In 1983, I put a 30 grand deposit on a smallholding with only a small 20 year year mortgage. But profit sharing has gone out of the window and most trawlermen are foreigners who are paid pitiful washers. The boat owner pockets the lot these days. Same as the UK industry as a whole. 

The UK is in a bad way imo. I have no faith in the basic decency of any politician.

Yes I do have to pay for my parkinsons meds as I still work and thing is I honestly wouldn't mind regardless of what happens in Europe if the system was fairer and native Brits were put first but as we know it aint happening. I listened to a podcast yesterday where if you earn over £50k per year you work from Jan to April for nothing as it goes on tax which is a shocking stat.

Without the risk of going off on a tangent and on a personal note we have had a gutsful of it now watching the country being invaded by illegals, the corruption and then being hit in the pocket to pay for it. We've decided if we finish work at 67 we will retire poor (in relative terms) and our private pensions will be taxed but if we both "finish" at 60 I can claim benefits supplemented by our savings we will still be poor (in relative terms) but will have 7 years of doing what we want before our state pensions kick in (if they exist by then) and we are worked into an early grave.

What a complete and utter shit show governments have created.

One of the local Reform councillors here is a complete prick, I've dealt with him and know him, not the bloke he portrays to be at all, I know hes a tiny cog but puts me off voting for reform completely... ill watch Restore with interest, might just start one up myself...revamp or maybe rewind lol

There's a nuclear reprocessing plant not far from me. It's poured radiative nuclear fuel into the Solway Firth for decades. There were several incidents of dangerous radioactive leaks including a devastating fire.

Fishermen like me who are daft enough to stand in the Solway for hours at a time were exposed to it and we are tested from time to time to see how much radiation is in our bodies. Fortunately we are OK  but my penis does glow green at  night.

The point I'm making is that Windscale  CHANGED ITS NAME to Sellafield and reassures us that now it's perfectly safe .

Reform are nothing but the tories under a different name.

Could that be because the Tory party moved away from its roots and supporters, not the supporters moving away from the Tories ?

Lets face it, love her or hate her, Maggie was a true blue Tory , this lot are more suited to the LibDems, they are no longer a party of the Right, just as Labour are now a party of the Metropolitan elite, the Muslim vote and student political, not a party of the workers.

As I keep saying, I can’t, at the moment, see a viable alternative apart from Reform. Restore MAY win me over, I agree with most of Lowe’s police’s but, in my mind, the great majority of the “middle ground” voters , rightly or wrongly, will never vote for those policies and they are needed for ANY party to win a majority

Sorry Newkid if I come across as nosey but you seem to be a guy who runs a company works hard and does reasonably well. Earlier in the topic people said that the Uk is a dead loss to be in business in and I disagreed. How do you find it? I think you seem well qualified to give an opinion
