Was just thinking back to MC mentioning cowhock in dogs. Look at quater horses. They are bred to be cowhocked. That's due to the fact the horses can run at some speed  but when putting the breaks on  they've the ability just to stop and turn on a six pence. So In the long run it may be to the dogs advantage too.
