I’d rather a pic like that than a thousand pics of  dead hares at feet of dog nowadays I just like pics of me dogs on sofas and dressed up and use them for the occasional mouse hunt like bangers were a mousers united

I did a load a coursing as a kid mate twagging school. You'd kill 1 in a hundred with the grews collie greys bitza etc when you stopped that one wow it was the best feeling ever still.is I may stop.a few but there hard as fack to kill with one dog if truth be told mate 

Id love shaark to get a few dogs and try and make a hare dog and then breed a hare dog and have success its the hardest game in the world.

Under the term of coursing to rules ,,  they give fair law and  If a slipper dropped a pair of sighthounds  esp greys and sals with no law short slip or even worse a kick up he’d get slated and a hot pie slapped on back of his neck ouch and demoted , now the last good few yrs killing off short or boot slips has morphed into coursing  if you went to any other country that has rules coursing Spain Portugal with clubs who uphold rules and told them you want a short slip they would tell you that you better off getting a shot gun and shooting it

I get most of wat your saying by tx i prob couldn’t if you called me on phone wouldn’t have clue wat u on about lol its where the modern world and old collide  them old vids of matching are pitiful to watch all that sneaking up kick up stuff il gladly watch a true test off a 100 but rarely i see it as its a case off a kill is a win a  miss is a fail , pre ban i had a dog who was allways given further and further law as I didn’t want nothing  easy  i dont like easy i liked the best of tests got no satisfaction on see in him stop em off anything less  but we all different  , look at it like this if i went fishing a little pond and caught a few but kept on going to a little pond to keep up catching wouldn’t that get bit boring ? I don’t make me a great fisherman or am I ?  Now if you took me to the river Severn I’d be fkd I’d fail I’m not such a great fisherman after all am I ?

I agree with bits mate the first slip if I went long the road is half a mile away so I arked around so it went to the open but I had to  slip to thick cover so I needed the dog on it the second short slip its coming in dark  looked dead quick.and it  took the dog fields turned into a 5 minute run

Yes do get that bit but holding on to purpose bred killers you got the ace up ya sleeve  , pre ban on the original form of walked up coursing you got your run you got no input or say in wat was infront or around land wise that was it the judge was on horse if it went in next field  ! Will add I am a great fisherman lol

I don't have to try, Gooey.

I've owned a few dogs that were good hare catchers/killers.

I just don't see the point in fooling myself that they were coursing dogs.

Anyway, Gooey, where are these 500 yard slips you keep promising us?

8, 9 or 10-15 yards isn't what you told us you'd be sharing on here.
