I had never heard of him but I assumed from the interest on here that he was a major,  divisive figure who would have security .Apparently not, I take your point.

I suspect that at some point in the next 5-10 years he would’ve taken his first political office and then maybe 10 years after that been a contender for the presidency. He was a very significant activist amongst the grass roots. However, I very much doubt he felt the need to have counter sniper teams at his events. Taking security that seriously doesn’t just mean dealing with snipers, it means bomb dogs, hostile vehicle mitigation, facial recognition, maintaining files of known opposition/threats, drone defences etc etc etc.

No doubt this will change political events for some time though. But how do you really defend against loons without a huge security budget.
