chartpolski 28,079
Just had a great weekend at the Wolsingham Country Fair. Met up with my pals who run the Rural sports marquee, bumped into a lot of people I’ve met over the years, including some top lads from the West Coast. My bitch had qualified for the Cock ‘o the North final, and who did I find myself standing next to ? Max ! His racing lurcher had also qualified. Sadly the judge obviously preferred small rabbiting types so we got nothing. I didn’t bother entering the open show with the same judge. Saturday was basically shopping day but all I bought was four bungy cords, a ratchet strap and two tins of .22 pellets ! Sunday was dog day, lurchers, terriers, whippets and a KC show. Had some great craic with this lad who imported these two Borzoi bitches from Ukraine; And with this lad with a pair of Wolfhounds. A great weekend, but the serious business starts now ! LOL ! Cheers. 4 Quote Link to post

Lol Maybe should of made the trip, judge might of liked mine It’s only30 mile from me. No complaints about the judge, it’s only a dog beauty pageant, but the final four were two hairy beddy whippet types, a small saluki type and a whippet type. The big big hairy deerhound types didn’t get a second look, but at another show the judge could prefer that types, it’s just a good weekend with like minded people for me ! The lad with the wolf hounds could be your twin charts some shows are a good way to catch up with lads you haven't seen in years and being in like minded company meeting new folk from all over is always a good day Edited 3 hours ago by Blackmag 1 Quote Link to post
