Rickshaw swami 4,321 Posted yesterday at 14:18 Report Share Posted yesterday at 14:18 Bravecto gets my vote for house dogs. As far as the discussion of wormers there's more to it than meets the eye.At least as it applies to Alabama. Active ingredient : Brand name Fenbendazole: panacur, safeguard Treats hookworm, roundworm, whipworm In order to treat whipworm you need appropriate dosage for 3 days in a row.I have also used fenbendazole for the treatment of coccidia. I have been told by several veterinarians and vet techs that fenbendazole is the easiest for worms to build an immunity to. My old hogdog vet mixed pyrantel promoate with panacur to prevent worms building immunity. Pyrantel : Nemex, pupwormer Treats roundworm, hookworms Pyrantel promoate looks and smells like butterscotch. It can be used to prevent worms building immunity. It can be bought as human pinwormer cheaper. I currently use a generic drontal plus called Quad dewormer. With the combination of febantel(metabolized fenbendazole) and pyrantel pomoate worms can't build an immunity as far as I know. With drontal plus you also have praziquental which gets most tapeworms and I have also used it for treatment of liver flukes and giardia.(beaverfever) Just my experiences.
