The otter just about escaped the wooden spoon! lol It was won by a lad who has fished it the last 2 years and is a regular guest of the fishery, they book now to coincide with the comp and get involved with the lot.. we charged £10 to fish and £10 for the barbie to boost the pot.. so all the extra people who are turning up contributed as well.. Owain (Wales1234) came 2nd with 33lb, decent net of bream and a cracking crucian.. Carp counted as 1lb this year and it tightened it up quite a lot... fishing wasn't amazing, but everyone caught. 1st 38lb 2nd 33lb 3rd 21lb 4th 19lb 1

It's made so that when it's closed with pellets inside , it doesn't go completely flat , and deform your pellets , and the loop is long enough , that you can open the pouch when youre shooting prone, and your pellets dont drop out. If you pm your postal address over , my mrs will make you a bespoke catapult pouch as a present for your lad mate . Kind offer. Many thanks mate. I don’t expect it for nothing. I’ll send you a PM. dytkos 17,942 Posted Tuesday at 18:14 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 18:14 As all posted above, brilliant weekend, great craic, fishing, food, drink, many thanks to to Kev and the Luccombes fishery team and also the non thl people who stayed there, fished and joined in 100% with the ethos of the comp. Sean and Ollie again top auctioneers, Sean's upped his game now he's moved on from cooking duties but team McGuinness did an amazing job with the food (all donated by several people but as usual, a special mention to Dan, Sock's butcher. Speaking of Socks, he blessed us with his appearance this year after a couple of years off whilst working his way up the corporate ladder, being a director of a (company with 2.9/3/3.2/3.5 billion pounds turnover and businesses in 11 countries. ) As usual, great fundraising for a good cause, everybody joined in, fantastic team effort. It really is worth the effort even if your not a great fisherman. (I'm not if anyone didn't know )This year I saw the competition and thought "I'm not a better angler than any of these, let's just hope I'm luckier" I was, I pissed all over Bob and Joe. Great weekend once again, as usual. Sorry no pics. Cheers, D. 5

Seriously lads if you haven't been before it really is worth the effort, I probably laugh more on this weekend than the rest of the year, the banter is top notch, the food is great, the fishery is the most accommodating place you could wish for, there is nothing not too like. As all the posts, thanks to everyone who contributed, attended, cooked, cleaned, shifting shit, supplied prizes, chucked money in the pot, made the effort to travel hundreds of miles to be there... the list goes on. A massive thanks to Mary, Narima and Graham, they are friends of mine for over 30 years and they go above and beyond to make the weekend what it is, nothing is too much trouble and to be honest as much as we would like to move around the country with the comp (as we used too) you just wouldn't get what we get here. There are now a load of regular guests attending the match and getting involved with the weekend... it was one of the bigger years this year which made it an entertaining evening for the auction as Sean had more victims than normal to abuse! lol This year we raised for a local charity that supports families after suicide, this is personal to me as we lost 3 men in the last 18 months to suicide, one only 20 years old, I've watched the effect it has had on his father a good friend of mine and someone I've worked with for 20 years, it's seriously crushing. Petes Dragons has provided support to these families, one of the families is again close friends of mine and my wife, they are blown away by what we have done this weekend and have sent there sincere thanks.. they have told us this charity has been fantastic in the aftermath of Stefan's death. We raised nearly £2600 on the night, pretty amazing again for a bunch of hairy assed hunters sat around a fire pit, but it shows again the kindness and decency there is on this forum. This was our 13th year and we are over £35k raised now for various charities... its an event that has stood the test of time, as a community we should be proud of that! Link below for the charity, thanks to anyone that has donated and anyone that donates. Definitely a highlight of my year, and this year was as good as any! And all in a good cause. We ate like kings this wewkend, everyone mucks in and provides something... was good to catch up.again mate...even if we did bore you to sleep lol 1
