There's men would kennel a shit type of dog and be happy with it  for just walking about with and catching the odd bit with you can give the likes of that man a dog for nothing and it'll be looked after and be his best mate and in his eyes a cracker instead of selling it to some idiot or catching someone  with it that does does a bit or just put it down I'm sure most would agree it saves it doing the rounds and getting passed from pillar to post livestock dead stock

Like has been said there will be some good dogs out there that due to stupid laws some folk will be calling it a day regarding certain types of dogs they keep. Sad times indeed.

I no a few lads that’s jacked in digging and lurchers as they can’t afford to get caught incase they lose there business,or can’t be done with the hassle of going to court for a fox or a hare. And lose a fortune in a motor so either give the dogs away or just keep them as pets now to save the fuss or not enough stuff about.

Same lad i mentioned who has his own business recently raised a shed load of money for a local young kid with cancer at a charity event at a workingmans club with a few celebrities at the event so a conviction for hare coursing would not be in his best interests where as when it was legal to course hare's it probably wouldn't have bothered him with having permission.

I dont comply with the thought that anything that is advertised is sub-standard. I'd bet most would make decent animals in the right hands, and some may even excel.

There are so many messers in the game, floating in and out like the tide. Many of which have enough ready cash to purchase really good stock. And it really doesn't matter if they lose interest by May, they can go and pay the going rate for good animals in late August. Same with puppies, bought one year, grown and binned for a quad bike the next.

Sure, these dogs currently on the market, may have little, or no real training, but a bit of effort over the summer, should put them right.

I've seen some cracking animals over the past few weeks on the FB pages. And if your looking for a new lurcher, the world's your oyster right now.

Bosun you seem to be into the sport you should know not every dog makes the grade weather it be scared of teeth not a good runner there multiple things make a dog not worth feeding honestly I don't beleave in kenneling something that isn't up to scratch or giving them a home for life  there working dogs 1st and pets second to me then when there done they get a while laying about then that's it away to happy hunting ground....loads of hunting lads have turned into snowflakes when it comes to dogs all this home for life you'd  gather a load of shit about you in no time or just keep something shit at its job because he's your fur baby

Gunter I agree with you 100% on the above... I've never carried passengers, they have to be both capable, and suit me.

All i'm saying is that i'd bet there are some really decent dogs out there if somebody was looking.

If they turn out shite then do the decent thing, rather than pass it on again.

Seen that. Terrier men who dug only badger, not law breakers or the sort who regard prison as an occupational hazard, had no choice but to pack in. Something that was once legal became illegal.
