Local chippy used to charge 2p    (Lol) Unless you bought something else but most of the time would just give them to us for free.

Mum would send me (4-5 years old) with a couple of quid to get the chippy tea. How much is one now?

I remember fish and chips being cheaper than a Chinese take - away, but now at the local shops a chinky is £7-8 and fishing and chips is over £12.

Very rare we buy either; prefer to make our own; Thai green curry king prawn for dinner today !

Cheers.

There’s a place in Barcelona that does proper British fish and chips. Last time, I think I spent 35Euros for two people.

I'm Lancastrian but always known the best chips are in Yorkshire I thought everyone knew that..

Heard the codfather in Barnsley is a hidden gem and they own the wingmans chicken shop nextdoor supposed to be really good aswell plus they've got a steak restaurant called three flames..
