Conscription couldn't work in this country . The only people that would go and fight , would be the decent British working folk . If they left to fight , who would be here to look after and feed , the millions of feckless welps that we have to feed and clothe ?. Those fuckers would just lay in bed and starve to death.

I was disappointed for my grandson when he got turned down for the army a wile back now i am glad he did. Consciption will never work in this country and might be a time when the people tell the government to feck off.

The UK is a very different place , compared to the last time we had conscription. 

My post above was half in jest , but it's quite true .

We have a lot of good people in this country , but they're becoming outnumbered by the feckless.  You can't always blame the feckless , as many have been born into nothing but benefits and a lazy lifestyle , as were there parents . 

They'll never understand working together , or working /fighting for the betterment of society , because it's never been part of life for them.they see a life on benefits as there role in society.

I work with several blokes , that are proper grafters. They work hard all day , then rush home to pick the kids up from school , so that the Mrs can go to work in the evenings , but they've had to give up there rented houses , and move the Mrs and kids back in with there parents , as they couldn't afford the rent . They can't get council houses , because they've been given to brown people , and they can't get a mortgage , because they've been agency workers for years , on zero hours contracts.

I can't see that they'd feel very inclined to go and fight , on the orders of a government that is making sure that they'll never be any more than slaves.

I also work with a lot of lads that live in shared accommodation.  They don't want to , but they can't afford anything else .

I'm not some soft arse that falls for any old sob story , but you wouldn't believe how many times I've had to buy a meal for lads , that had nothing to eat at work , because the choice they had , was food for the kids , or food for themselves. 

And you can always tell the genuine ones , because they're the ones that always try to pay you back on payday .

If they push for war , there needs to be mass civil disobedience in all European countries. Block all airports, ports , railway lines , all major roads ,etc . Bring everything to a halt .
